While the trend in pet photography seems to be to photograph dogs in candid, real-life settings, my clients enjoy beautiful, elegant, studio portraits. So relax, have fun, and let's create something unique and timeless for your family.

There’s something about fall that feels like the world is putting on its coziest sweater just for moments like this 🍂

Jake, Sarah, and little Hunter showed up ready to soak in every golden second of a perfect afternoon. The leaves were glowing, the air had that crisp “grab-a-coffee-and-stay-awhile” vibe, and Hunter? He was on a mission to explore every leaf, stick, and hidden treasure the park had to offer.

Jake kept things steady (and somehow still managed to get tackled by a toddler hug), while Sara brought the warmth that made everything feel effortless. And right there, next to that old tree that’s probably seen a hundred seasons come and go, this little family carved out a moment that felt timeless.

Between laughs, leaf crunches, and a few “almost got it!” shots, we captured more than just photos—we caught the feeling of fall… the kind you wish you could bottle up and keep on the shelf.

Days like this don’t last forever… but the memories? Those stick around.

This Family Was Literally SLAYING this shoot!!

Hey there! You know when you stumble upon a family that's just *on point*? Like, they could be on the cover of a magazine and no one would bat an eye? Well, let me introduce you to some past victims... I mean, clients.

Meet this fabulous foursome who gave us life during their recent photoshoot! These two parents and their sons were the epitome of photogenic perfection. Just check out that black-and-white silhouette I got - talk about a masterpiece!

But it wasn't just their looks; this family had it all: the vibe, the energy, and even some cheeky humor sprinkled in for good measure. Mom and Dad looked like they stepped right out of a fashion magazine.

If you're tired of boring family portraits that look like everyone's been injected with sedatives, give me a call! I promise to capture your family's unique personality in a way that'll make you say "OMG, we were literally slaying the game!"

A Pawsome Adventure with Troy D Photography!

Woof woof, ya'll! It's the memory of Brady here, and I gotta tell you, this one time at the park... Well, let me set the scene for ya.

It was a gorgeous day, and Mommy, Daddy, Luna, and yours truly were all raring to go on an adventure! We headed straight for the woods, where we could run and play our little hearts out, on a leash, of course. Luna, she's all spry and agile, but let me tell you, I was no slouch myself!

As we trotted through the trees, I couldn't help but notice that someone was following us - it was none other than my human friend Troy from Troy D Photography! He had this big camera hanging around his neck, and he seemed pretty excited to take our picture.

Now, I don't usually care much for people or their cameras, but Luna went all starstruck when she saw Troy. She bounded right over to him, tail wagging like a metronome. I couldn't help but notice that he was kinda funny-looking, with his hair sticking up all crazy and these glasses that made his eyes look even bigger than usual.

But then Troy started talking to us in this weird, high-pitched voice, asking us questions about our names and whatnot. Luna just pranced around him like she was showing off for a date! I couldn't help but chuckle to myself - it was all a bit much for this big dog.

Then, he asked us if we wanted to play in the creek! Now that's something I can get behind! Luna and I splashed around, chasing each other and generally making a mess of ourselves. Troy just stood there, snapping away with his camera, trying to keep up. It was a hoot!

Before we knew it, our time at the park was coming to an end. Mommy and Daddy called us back, and Troy packed up his things and left. Luna and I were both exhausted from all the playing, but we couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces!

That day at the park with Troy will always be one of my favorites - I hope you enjoyed hearing about it as much as I did reliving it! Woof woof!

The most “uncooperative” dog I ever photographed…

…got the best photos.
(The post is serious, the photos are just to get your attention.*)

No joke—this dog would not sit still for more than half a second.

Running.
Sniffing.
Completely ignoring every command.

At one point, Lisa looked at me and said,
“I’m so sorry… we can just reschedule if you want.”

And I said,
“Nope. This is perfect.”

So we stopped trying to control it.

We let him run.
We let him explore.
We let him be exactly who he is.

And in between all of that?

We caught the moments that actually mattered.

The look he gave his owner.
The full-speed joy.
That split-second pause where his personality just… showed up.

Those are the photos they ended up loving the most.

Not the posed ones.
Not the “perfect” ones.

The real ones.

So tell me—does your dog actually sit still… or are they a little chaos machine?

(The post is serious, the photos are just to get your attention.*)

If your dog won’t sit still… good. I don’t want them to.

Last week I had a session with a pup who had *zero* interest in posing. The second we got started, he was off—running, sniffing, rolling in the grass like he had somewhere very important to be (he didn’t 😄).

His owner kept apologizing:
“I’m so sorry… he never sits still.”

And honestly? That’s exactly what made it perfect.

Because here’s the thing—your dog isn’t meant to be a statue. They’re goofy, curious, a little chaotic… and *that’s* who you love.

So instead of forcing a pose, we let him be himself.

We played. We waited. We laughed a lot.
And somewhere in the middle of all that chaos… we caught it:

👉 The head tilt when he heard his favorite word
👉 The full-speed run straight toward the camera
👉 That split-second look at his owner like, “Are we done yet?”

Those are the moments that matter.

Not perfect. Not posed. Just real.

And those are the photos that don’t end up buried on your phone…
They’re the ones you actually hang on your wall.

So if you’ve been holding off because your dog “won’t behave”…
Trust me—they don’t need to.

Sometimes the chaos makes the best memories.

Do you have a dog who refuses to sit still? Tell me their name and what they do instead
—I guarantee I’ve seen worse. (Let's see if she's reading... Ms. Bond!) ;)

Rest in peace, Brady.
