Wow okay it has been forever since I posted anything on my photography page. But that doesn’t mean I havnt been taking photos! This is probably one of my favorite sessions I’ve done this fall- probably because of the teeny tiny baby, but also these friends of mine are just so beautiful 💕
So so happy for them and was so honored to capture this short season for them to remember. (Because let’s be honest, you don’t remember much from the first... 6 or so months of parenthood) 😅

My girl 💕 look at the little person she is becoming. It’s crazy how big she has gotten and I love looking in those big brown eyes of hers and wonder what’s going on in that little head of hers ☺️ She is definitely now which keeps life interesting. And she is miss independent. 🙈😅 It May be exhausting raising an independent, strong willed and vivacious little girl, but I’m excited to see the strong, world changing, woman she will become. Just try and listen to your mama for now girlfriend 😉🤣

So it’s been a while! But I’m back! I thought I would make my first post of the New Years a bit about how the year has started so far. I know we all had our resolutions for the new year, and by February we have either seen progress or have maybe even given up. I want to encourage you to NEVER GIVE UP. Even if you fail one or two days, doesn’t mean that the third and fourth days are going to be failures! Just because January was rough doesn’t mean February will be, and even if February is rough, doesn’t mean March has to be! That is basically the summary of the beginning of our year 😂🙊🙄
We started the new year in LA with some friends, .ann.martin finishing a 2.5 week trip in Washington, Oregon, and Cali.

This shot is my handsome husband on the beach in Cali as a marina layer of fog rolled in. 😍

When we got home I was hit with an awful ear infection that took me out of work for two weeks and took me out personally for pretty much the whole month of January.
My husband and I have had very specific personal and financial goals for this year, and it seems like everything that could possibly discourage us has happened.
I got in a car accident with our new car at the beginning of February, and we’re still fighting with the insurance to pay our claim. Did I mention we have also been sick A LOT this year?? 😣

I hate the saying “there’s always a silver lining” especially when things are going crappy. Instead I would say, find the things in your life that you are thankful for, the things you do have, and remind yourself of them instead of focusing on the things that are “going wrong” or not happening how you want them to. And remember that this life in the end really isn’t about you. Be a blessing to those around you and love well no matter how you’re feeling.
So let that be your encouragement today. No matter where you’re at with your goals, take each day a day at a time, and each day that you remain thankful is a victory. And go after your dreams! Take a step each day to pursue the things you’re passionate about!! This is my step!😍

Happy Thanksgiving from this adorable family!
Our relationship with Dan and Bekah started with a maternity session last summer. Now they are close friends and we have enjoyed walking with them through this journey of becoming a family of three! Their T-Max is such a big boy and a big blessing:)
We are so thankful for their friendship 💙
