I figured I'd better share these before the next Silo event, before I fall back into my bad habit of letting photos collect dust on my hard drive.

These are some of my favorites from our last shoot at White Cliffs. I'm so excited for the upcoming event, not only to shoot with everyone again, but to spend a little more time modeling this round too.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this one such a fun day. I can't wait to create with you all again.

A little about me,

I figured it was time for a proper introduction and a little update on where I’m at. I’m shay, a graphic designer + photographer with a love for storytelling, collaboration, and creating things that feel intentional. I recently completed my BFA in Graphic Design, building on my A.A. in Visual Arts, with experience across photography, visual communication, packaging, and creative problem solving. After 5 years behind the camera, I’m continuing to grow my photography work and looking for opportunities to collaborate with people, artists, and small businesses who want to bring ideas to life.

Outside of design + photography, you’ll find me crafting something random, experimenting with new ideas, or occasionally stepping in front of the camera myself.

That’s a wrap for now~

Everything I’ve done, and everything I’m becoming, I owe to my mentors, professors, classmates, friends, and family. Thank you for pouring into me.

This chapter is closed, so here are three lessons that stayed with me:

1. Rest is a requirement.
Staying up late isn’t worth it anymore. My body needs to recover so I can create better. Even if that means not being “on time.”

2. Not everyone is your friend.
And that’s okay. I protect my peace, make space for what’s real, and let people be ass wipes if they want. Imaginary beef someone might have can remain imaginary to me. Life goes on.

3. I found more of myself.
I was more shy than I thought. I learned to communicate better, set boundaries, take myself on dates, and ask for help. I invested in me and found better people along the way.

Thank you everyone, thank you to all I’ve yet to share this accomplishment with, and to those I may not have thanked personally yet. I’m successful and happy thanks to you 🫀🫀🫀

Being trusted to capture The Summit was not on my bingo card this year :0

I’m grateful to the entire team for giving me the opportunity to be there and learn in a space like this. Thank you to my wonderful and talented mentor Paige for bringing me in and trusting me to capture these moments. It means more than I can explain.

Listening to the speakers and everyone in the room, I got to witness the leaders in this industry essentially come back to the classroom to learn from each other as one community. I wondered, what more could successful leaders in their field, learn about leadership.

My biggest takeaway: leadership is built slowly, through consistency and trust. Not with “aura”, not with credentials, and certainly not with a blue checkmark. By adding marbles to a jar, one small action at a time, leaders are grown where trust can root .

I’m always grateful for another opportunity to learn, and I’m excited to keep getting better every time I pick up my camera.

Senior Thesis Announcement!

Introducing the

This project is the culmination of my college education, combining woodworking, photography, design, business, and web development into one interactive experience. The goal is simple: create a space where people feel comfortable, playful, and in control of the camera while making real, physical memories.

Before the Senior Show, I’ll be bringing the booth to two art markets. ’s First Friday Art Market + ‘s Galactic Static at Cosmic Arts Studio in Pottstown~

Last fall, for Senior Studio Course at , we were given the assignment to rebrand a local Lancaster shop. We got to choose from a list, and I immediately gravitated toward

Mad Cap has such a playful, bold personality and has been part of downtown Lancaster’s creative fabric for a long time. It’s the kind of shop that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still really cares about quality, character, and standing out.

I was honestly so happy I chose this brand. Getting to dig into their personality and translate that into a visual identity felt really natural, and I feel like my design work really let the brand be loud, fun, and confident.

Huge thank you to Mad Cap for existing and bringing so much joy and color to the city. This project ended up being one of my favorites because it combined local love, storytelling, and branding in a way that felt very me.
