Instead of the usual year in review post, I am popping in to say thank you. Thank you to the humans who have been here all 11 years, and the ones who I met just this month. It’s the best job to be welcomed into your biggest moments with open arms.

Thank you for your grace, joy, and support over a really hard year. I’m so lucky to know and document you all.

They’re HERE!! Happy sixth annual activism sessions. This year, we are taking the time to show up for a cause and group near and dear to my heart, . MAP is a food justice and access organization right here in Buffalo.

This July, MAP was denied the finally $50,000 payment of a 4 year grant they had been awarded by the USDA. The reason? Their commitment to DEI.

“Such DEI policies and practices conflict with the USDA’s policy of maximizing and advancing the interests of all Americans through agriculture, ensuring a safe, nutritious, and secure food supply.”

So let’s help fill that funding gap. Until December 20th, we will be offering full portrait sessions in exchange for a minimum of a $350 donation to MAP. These sessions will be a credit that you can use at any point in 2026, and are a special rate separate from our standard portrait session fee.

There are other rates for extended family sessions and travel. I will be on Long Island and in Pittsburgh at multiple points in 2026, so limited sessions in those areas will be available.

How lucky am I that a random guy I met at a fraternity party over 15 years ago would not only introduce me to his best friend (my future husband) but also wind up having the coolest family I get to be a part of too. So grateful for friends that are raising some of the funniest, bravest and kindest little humans.
