reflecting on Hurricane Helene... 6 months later.

while my family was graced with little to no damage, that isn't true for a lot of my people. Appalachia is still recovering and the hard work has truly just begun.

I went over to the home place and as I watched my cousin play in the same creek as I did growing up, I couldn't help but notice how much the land had changed. While minimal, it was still enough to make me tear up.

For the past six months I have come home, I can't help but cry as I see the land that blesses us in its condition.
