The goal is to capture memories & taking a photo is basically a magic trick that freezes time. It grabs a feeling & all the emotions a person is feeling & freezes it. So years later when you look at it, you remember that feeling you had at that moment.

Quick little couple session with Brandie & Jimmy.

A little tug-of-war, a game of “kiss me if you can,” and enough crazy-big mosquitoes somehow turned this session into one we definitely won’t forget.

But honestly? The laughs, the love, and the absolute chaos are what make these sessions so much fun.

Brandie & Jimmy, y’all were a whole vibe.

Lyric’s senior session did NOT go according to plan… and honestly, I think Mother Nature did us a favor.

We had our hearts set on a beautiful flower field, but after Mother Nature decided to throw some raging storms our way, our field of choice was wiped out. Sooo… we pivoted!

We took this gorgeous girl downtown and then headed to the beach—and let me just say, Lyric didn’t need a field of flowers to make this session beautiful. She did that all on her own.

Sometimes the best sessions are the ones that don’t go according to plan. And this one? Absolutely beautiful.

Senior year looks GOOD on you, Lyric!

Beach waves, downtown New Buffalo, sunshine, and enough sass to keep us laughing the entire session.

If this is how she’s entering senior year, I’d say the rest of the story is going to be pretty spectacular.

Go be fabulous, Savanna. The world is waiting.

Okay… I’m still trying to wrap my head around this.
A photo I took of a waterfall was published in a magazine… AND THEY PUT IT ON THE COVER.
Like… MY photograph. On the COVER. (Thanks to my supporters for voting for me.)
There are moments in this photography journey that make you stop and realize, holy crap… I’m actually doing this. And this is definitely one of those moments.
I picked up a camera because I loved photography. Somewhere along the way, I started chasing a dream I wasn’t even sure I was brave enough to chase.
And today, I get to say I am a published photographer.
I am ridiculously proud of this one. And maybe just a little bit emotional about it.
Here’s to chasing the dreams that scare you a little. And for being proud of my accomplishments. Even if they don't seem big to anyone else.

I LOVE when I have a vision for a beach session and then this beautiful soul shows up for it and absolutely shows out! There is something about capturing someone who is completely comfortable in their own skin that makes my photographer heart happy. Carly, you are beautiful inside and out and I’ll never get tired of capturing that.

I’ve known Joslyn and Jeramy since we were teenagers, which means I’ve had a front-row seat to their love story for a looooong time.
I’ve watched them grow up, grow together, survive the ups and downs, and somehow continue choosing each other through it all. And let’s be honest… that’s the real love story.
