I spent an amazing week up in Alaska. Although the weather did not cooperate for a lot of the things I had planned - this Bald Eagle, the rain and the mist gave me a beautiful opportunity on the last morning.

The foxes have started to become way more tolerant of us around the house during the day. This mother and her two kits gave us a show for more than an hour this morning in our backyard. Truly special to see!

I have been trying to get a photo of this fox for a year and a half! He’s mostly nocturnal, but when he is seen during the day, he ain’t slowing down for a photo op! Today I spotted him sitting in a perfect clearing and he had beautiful morning light hitting him. I ran for the camera and by the time I was ready, he had curled up in the thick stuff. Not a wall hanging piece of photographic art, but I’ll take a decent pic as a win with this guy!

Such a stunningly beautiful bear. This is one of the 4 year old sub-adult cubs of Blondie. I photographed this bear last year along with its sibling and was lucky enough to photograph it again on this year's trip - while I was photographing 399 (this bear's grandmother) and her cubs! Amazing genetics and looks just mom!

The famous Grizzly 399 in Grand Teton National Park. This was a special encounter with with a beautiful bear. She is 25 years old and her year-old quadruplet cubs are close by. Her watchful eyes are staring through my camera lens making sure I don't pose a threat to them!

I wanted to take advantage of some Spring snow on the ground today. I was never more than about 6 miles from my house - what a beautiful place to live! Take a close look at the Magpie on the Elk cow's back in the center of the black and white image.

Deb Lefor and her newest edition, "Destiny", were able to come to the studio this weekend to test out the pup's modeling skills - she's clearly a natural. Destiny is an 8 week old Labradoodle, and she is about the sweetest thing you'll ever see.
