Photos and video exist so you remember who you were when you were being the most yourself.

That moment? Thatā€™s what I capture.

Meet as she says, she's a lover of lipgloss and legends carsā€¦ she's also a hair stylist and driver of the #54 teal and purple legendā€¦ she's not afraid to kick a guys ass on track. She's also everyones biggest cheerleader around the pits. Always with a smile and never afraid to show up.

Something big can be said about someone who wears all the hats at the track and definitely does just that.

Itā€™s been amazing capturing everyone this year, canā€™t wait to step into the community even more soonā€¦ and canā€™t thank this guy enough for welcoming us in.

I spent way too long waiting for the ā€œright timeā€ to show up.

The right lighting. The right words. The right version of myself.

Meanwhile life kept moving and I kept watching from the sidelines. Over the years, Iā€™ve noticed many things about myself while looking through the lens to capture othersā€¦

Hereā€™s what Iā€™ve realized (finally at 37 years youngā€¦ wish this happened sooner:

Yes - Every single moment is the opportunity.
Yes - The imperfect moments.
Yes - The shaky days full of nerves.
Yes - The picture you almost didnā€™t take and share.
Yes - These are the ones that matters.

This is why you always see me with a camera.

Why Iā€™m now choosing to show up.

And why I donā€™t give a rats ass what anyone thinks about me anymore.

Because these moments donā€™t come back and neither does the version of you that was brave enough to make these moments happen.

In the pits is where you either fall apart or hold it together. Youā€™re wrenchin. Youā€™re working off the track. Also itā€™s where you stay sharp or lose your head. Where you laugh at something dumb because if you donā€™t, the pressure wins.

Are you having fun in there? You better be.

Figure out how to find something real in the moments between the moments on the track. Celebrate often. Learn and listen. Be coachable. And have a little fun.
