Mindanao Wildlife Encounters - While visiting the Philippine Eagle Center, a conservation and rehabilitation facility in Malagos, Davao City dedicated to protecting Philippine wildlife, I had the opportunity to photograph a wonderful variety of native birds and other animals. From Philippine eagles and other raptors to crocodiles and monkeys, these encounters allowed me to capture some remarkable Philippine wildlife to add to my collection. 📷 🦅🐒

People’s Park in Davao - Back home from our trip to the Philippines and finally getting around to looking through the photos I took from Davao City. We spent some time strolling around People’s Park, a four-hectare nature- and culture-themed park right in the heart of the city, wandering through the lush gardens and greenery, colorful sculptures celebrating the Indigenous cultures of Mindanao, and the iconic Durian Dome. But the photographer in me especially enjoyed capturing the everyday moments of the locals simply enjoying their day at the park. Here are a few of my favorite shots from our stroll through People’s Park. 📷 🇵🇭

Happy World Photography Day! 📷 Looking back on the journey photography has taken me on, I’m reminded of all the incredible places I’ve been fortunate enough to discover and share, from the wide-open deserts and peaceful lakes to towering mountains and rugged coastlines.

Each place has brought its own moments, stories, and perspectives, and through my camera I’ve been able to capture a little piece of what made each one special.

So many places explored, so many memories made, and still so much more to discover. Here’s to the journey so far, and to wherever the camera takes me next. 🌎

The other night the Padres were up 11–1 over the Brewers in the bottom of the sixth, so instead of watching the rest of the game from my seat, I decided to wander around Petco Park, taking photos of whatever caught my eye.

This ballpark brings back so many memories and so much history, from documenting its construction when I worked as the City of San Diego’s Multimedia Production Coordinator to countless family outings after work.

And then there’s our family brick, still resting at Palm Court Plaza, next to the historic Western Metal Supply Co. Building. It’s a small piece of our family history in a place that holds so much of mine.

Here are a few shots from my walk around the park, along with some construction photos I took back when this ballpark was being built.

Found out today that my photograph, "A Window into Americana," which I captured at Roy's Motel & Cafe along historic Route 66, was selected for The Open Road: Endless Horizons exhibition by the International Photography Hall of Fame.

Route 66 has always been an iconic symbol of adventure and Americana. To have one of my photos included in an exhibition commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Mother Road is both humbling and deeply rewarding. I'm so honored and thankful to the International Photography Hall of Fame for this incredible opportunity.
