I think I found the one group on this ship that can officially out-party me. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Last night I watched these guys dancing, going absolutely crazy, lifting each other in the airโ€ฆ and I had a moment of realization:

Think of it as a small international food market rather than a traditional cruise buffet. You walk in, look around, pick whatever catches your eye, and you can easily grab a few different things without committing to a huge meal.

There are several different counters, including Feta Mediterranean, Macโ€™s, Toast & Garden, GNGR and more. Mediterranean pitas, bowls, Asian-inspired dishes, comfort foodโ€ฆ plenty of choices, and itโ€™s all included in your cruise fare.

I tried the Mediterranean food earlier and really enjoyed it, so this time I went exploring a little more. What I really like is the portion size. You can order something small, try it, then move on to another counter if youโ€™re still hungry. Basically, create your own little food tour. ๐Ÿ˜‚

And honestly, this is exactly what I want on these massive new ships: more choices, smaller venues, different cuisines and less dependence on one gigantic buffet.

Okayโ€ฆ this might be one of the most beautiful spaces onboard.

Welcome to The Overlook, tucked inside the AquaDome. And these pictures really donโ€™t capture how impressive this place feels when youโ€™re actually standing there.

Youโ€™re surrounded by this massive glass dome, with the ocean almost completely wrapping around you. Add the sunlight, the crazy architecture, the tropical plants, the colourful furniture and that gorgeous bar in the middleโ€ฆ it feels more like a futuristic seaside lounge than something sitting on top of a cruise ship.

And those little elevated pods facing the ocean? ๐Ÿ˜ Give me a drink, an ocean view and one of those chairs and Iโ€™m disappearing for a while. ๐Ÿ˜‚

This is something Iโ€™m really starting to appreciate about Icon. With so many passengers onboard, Royal Caribbean created all these completely different spaces and neighbourhoods where you can escape and change the atmosphere without ever leaving the ship.

One minute youโ€™re surrounded by pools, music and thousands of peopleโ€ฆ and a few minutes later, youโ€™re sitting here staring at nothing but the ocean.

The Overlook is definitely a vibe.

What. A. SHOW.

The scale, the music, the lighting, the water, the aerial performances, the stuntsโ€ฆ there was so much happening that I honestly didnโ€™t know where to look half the time. ๐Ÿ˜‚

And photos donโ€™t even come close to capturing the energy of seeing this live.

Iโ€™m still going through everything I shot, but I couldnโ€™t wait to share a little sneak peek with you.
