Big announcements this week from Canon, Panasonic Lumix, and Sony, and camera fans have a LOT to be excited about.

Panasonic just revealed the new Lumix L10, bringing back that compact everyday camera vibe with serious modern upgrades. Sony is making waves again with the insanely powerful A7R VI, and Canon officially introduced the brand new EOS R6 V built for creators and filmmakers who want high-end video performance in a smaller setup.

And it’s not just cameras. Sony and Canon also dropped brand new lenses this week, including Canon’s new RF 20-50mm F4L IS USM PZ power zoom lens designed for video creators and hybrid shooters, along with Sony’s FE 100-400mm F4.5 GM OSS, a lens wildlife and sports photographers are already going crazy for.

Canon just announced the new EOS R6 V, and it’s built for video creators who want serious performance in a compact full frame camera. With 7K RAW recording, uncropped 4K up to 120fps, Open Gate recording, and Canon’s fast Dual Pixel autofocus system, the R6 V is designed for everything from YouTube videos and interviews to short films and social content.

The EOS R6 V also includes a long list of creator-focused features that make shooting easier. Designed for vertical video, the camera includes native vertical mounting and a vertical UI so creators can shoot social content without changing their setup. There’s also a front-facing record button that makes it easy to start recording whether you’re behind the camera or filming yourself.

Canon added an active cooling system for long-form recording, plus a full-size HDMI port for reliable monitoring, streaming, and production workflows. The built-in power zoom lever and dedicated REC button are designed to work seamlessly with Canon’s RF Power Zoom lens lineup, including the RF20–50mm Lens Kit, giving creators smooth and precise zoom control directly from the camera body.
