• Who’s down for the climbing gym? 🧗🏻‍♂️
I think I’ve picked up route setting. 🤣 This one is a bit different than my normal pieces. Also a bit more time consuming. In all honesty, it’s not one of my favorites but it’s definitely one of my more creative miniatures. I must say, I am quite pleased on my idea of Nerds and Runts as climbing holds! And also reintroducing my climbing rope technique with threading needles and thread.
Here’s a list of items used 👇🏻
• Nerds & Runts / Climbing Holds
• Thread / Climbing Rope
• Needles / Quick Draws
• Foam Board / Rock Wall
• Design Paper / Concrete Floor
• Foam Board / Padded Mat Floors
I’ve gained a little bit of inspiration from my local gym here in Las Vegas, . Tbh, I never thought I’d be basically designing a climbing gym but when it popped in my head that I could used Nerds, I dropped every other idea I had to give it a try! I poked all the holes with a push pin in exact measurements, and set up actual routes for my minis to climb. If you want to know more, stick around for the Reel tomorrow! Hope you guys dig it!

• Ready for Summer? 🔥
With Summer coming up, especially here in Vegas, I’ve been thinking about the water lately. So, why not pretend like I’m anywhere near the ocean? lol.
Proud to say that I worked with on this one! The color accuracy on their photography monitors are spot on perfect. The resolution is unreal and I honestly can’t wait to work with this monitor much more! The portrait mode blew my mind using it for the first time. 🤯
I gained inspiration from my recent trip to the Lava Tubes in the Mojave Desert with the light beams going into the cave. Thought of the cave diving light beams and wanted to recreate that. Using foam, joint compound, and spray paint, I created the cave. Then used my lights to light the way in from up top. I used atmosphere spray to create the light beams from inside the cave and the second light lit up the blue backdrop to look like the open ocean.
As far as the inside goes, the rocks are from my front yard, I used fine sand and using a plastic fork, and created the natural looking ripples you would find normally underwater. The rocks are placed around the edges but strategically so. I wanted balance. I also used big rocks to add depth in the foreground. The figure is being held from behind by a skinny metal rod so no editing was involved. The rod was also strong enough to keep still while using the spray. Lastly, I’ve been learning more about lighting with these past two scenes and I’m looking forward to doing more!
That being said, I will be releasing the reel to this shoot tomorrow. Stay tuned to see step by step how I made this scene!
Hope you like! 👍
Thank you to…

This is one of my favorite shots taken for my Las Vegas architectural project that I have been working on. I’ve been working on trying to show a different side to Vegas. A side that you don’t typically see. A simple, symmetrical, and different look to the city I love without the bright lights, the gambling action, and the street collectors cards (if you’ve been to Vegas, you know what I’m talking about.) *Snap*
This image truly shows how great the quality of glass I am working with. All without sacrificing the weight. I feel confident about shooting handheld, like this photo, and framing the shot perfectly and easily. Also helps with the miles of walking I do, whether in the city or on the trail, having a light set up. They also keep the minor details in mind, like being able to use the same filter size and not having to buy multiple filters or a step up ring. Tamron’s Sony E-Mount line lenses are truly a remarkable way to go and you will not regret ever going with them. 🤙

First time in a long time that I’ve been back on the wall. Couldn’t pass up the opportunity of going to this beautiful spot. 🤙 Definitely will be getting back on the wall more often. Hopefully sooner than later!

Shot this 17-28mm f/2.8 on my new Sony A7IV. This is a must have lens in my opinion, whether you are into photo or video. really done did it now with their E-Mount line. They managed to build quality glass at half the price and shaving off half the weight. I never thought I could carry my whole line up of 2.8 lenses + other gear on the trail without dreading to do so. Now my ideas won’t be left behind with the lenses needed to create them.
Started back on continuing the renovations in my house so it’s been a little tricky to get out more lately while trying to juggle so many things. That’s why it’s so nice being near some amazing spots. Y’all know I love Valley of Fire… I’m just not a big fan of the crowds which is why I always leaned away from the famous Fire Wave location. Luckily, this time for some weird reason on a weekend, during the sunset, my wife and I were the only two there. What was initially a scouting day, ended up with finally getting this bacon looking formation for myself!
