I’m Samantha Purea
A self-taught artist originally from Cleveland, Ohio. In 2007, my husband, Rob, gifted me my first Olympus camera. Determined to master its use, I immersed myself in tutorials and books, honing my skills. My dedication paid off when I won my first photography contest in 2009, allowing me to purchase my inaugural Canon camera and flash. As a fur mom, I practiced with what was around me, and every photoshoot with my furry pals was a delightful exchange of treats, hugs, and plenty of playful moments. With each snapshot, my confidence blossomed. In 2015, a friend entrusted me with photographing their wedding, sparking something inside me and marking the beginning of my journey into wedding photography. Over the years, I collaborated with fellow photographers and clients, collectively documenting more than 100 weddings. My talent was recognized through various local awards, earning me the distinction of being a couples' choice wedding photographer with THE KNOT. In early 2020, my husband, our furkids, and I relocated to Las Vegas, facing the challenges that year brought. However, amidst the turmoil, I delved into the realm of digital art creation. Immersing myself in this new skillset allowed me another opportunity to showcase so much more. My newfound skills led me to author and illustrate a children's book titled "The Bedtime Adventures of the Dandelion Faeries," available on Apple Books. Alongside my literary venture, I continued to produce captivating photographs and art pieces, adorning walls across the country. I draw inspiration from fellow artists and the world around me, creating pieces designed to transport viewers into captivating realms. Some have said: My artistry extends beyond mere imagery; I have a unique ability to not only capture stunning visuals but also ignite the imagination of my audience, inviting them to immerse themselves in the worlds I portray. Driven by my passion to share my creations with the world, I promise to continue capturing, creating, and sharing wonders as long as there are appreciative hearts to enjoy them.
