The Vikings have officially conquered Sin City.

When comes to town, they don't just play a concert; they wage war. Shooting from Front of House gave me the perfect vantage point to witness the sheer scale of this invasion. From Jocke Wallgren perched atop a massive horned helmet to the entire arena floor dropping down to row for "Put Your Back Into the Oar," the energy was absolutely feral. JohanHegg commanded the horde with absolute authority, closing out the tour with a fiery, triumphant raid. The Viking in me is fully satiated.

I went into the final night of the Amonklok Conquest Tour at PH Live mostly knowing .rat by name only. Half an hour later, my jaw was on the floor. The Rat Queen and her crew delivered a masterclass in Sabbath-worshipping doom metal wrapped in a fully immersive fantasy theater production. Giant rat combat? A scythe-wielding reaper? Visceral, heavy-as-hell riffs? Absolutely incredible. I definitely didn't have this on my bingo card, but I am officially a fan.

Las Vegas got dragged straight into The Realm.

I went into the final night of the Amonklok Conquest Tour at PH Live mostly knowing .rat by name only. Half an hour later, my jaw was on the floor. The Rat Queen and her crew delivered a masterclass in Sabbath-worshipping doom metal wrapped in a fully immersive fantasy theater production. Giant rat combat? A scythe-wielding reaper? Visceral, heavy-as-hell riffs? Absolutely incredible. I definitely didn't have this on my bingo card, but I am officially a fan.

As an old metalhead raised on Black Sabbath, Ozzy, and heavier music in general, YUNGBLUD normally wouldn’t be my lane. But after tonight, I get it.

The man didn’t stop moving, didn’t stop singing, and somehow made an entire arena feel connected. “Changes” live was absolutely unreal. Young fans, old metalheads, battle jackets, goth kids, everybody screaming together for rock and roll.

Sometimes albums feel like collections of songs. Sometimes they feel like watching humanity rot in slow motion.

INGESTED’s Denigration is the second one.

Violence is instinctive. Morality is fragile. Society is hollow. INGESTED is not interested in pretending otherwise, here.

This album drags you through decay, betrayal, manipulation, spiritual emptiness, and psychological collapse while still smashing your face in with some of the nastiest riffs and breakdowns the band has written in years. Featuring guest appearances from John Gallagher (Dying Fetus), Kyle Medina (Bodysnatcher), Damonteal Harris (PeelingFlesh), and Skyler Conder (Cell), this could have easily become a bloated feature-fest… but instead it feels calculated, violent, and purposeful.

“Watch You Fold” and “Beaten Beyond The Veil” absolutely stole this record for me.

Still one of the most underrated bands in deathcore.
