A NEW HIGH IN CHARM

Pulp Fiction and the lurid covers which sold the wild stories have fascinated me for many years. This photo recreation is part of my homage to the fabulous writers and illustrators who worked in this genre.

CHRISTOPFER HART’S hands make keyboard magic on the famous Hollywood Magic Castle piano which is usually reserved for the ghost named IRMA. Christoper, of course, is an actor and magician whose roles include Thing, the dismembered hand, in several Addams Family movies.

I PERFORMED ON THE MICKEY MOUSE CLUB!
The Mickey Mouse Club was my favorite TV show when I was a kid. My parents allowed me to watch only this and two other shows (Kukla Fran & Ollie and Captain Video) so I was more than thrilled to be invited to perform on the iconic Disney show in 1991. Fred Newman and Brandy Brown were the hosts that day. Of course my participating in the closing song was the highlight of my experience.

FLOATING CAN BE FUNNY
Ed Alonzo the amazing, wacko magician, parodies a well known photo taken of another famous magician, Mark Wilson, who levitated an actual young woman in front of The Magic Castle a decade earlier. We used this particular photo in a Magic Magazine calendar 14 years ago and it still makes me laugh.
