They have an observation problem.

We spend so much time learning HOW to light that we forget to ask WHY.

The best lighting isn’t the most complicated.

It’s the most intentional.

I see photographers chasing new lights, modifiers, and presets, hoping they’ll recreate someone else’s look.

But light isn’t a recipe.

It’s a language.

The same softbox can tell a hundred different stories depending on how you use it.

Learn to SEE light in order to learn to recreate it.

If I had niched down too early, I would’ve missed some of the biggest opportunities of my career.

Every genre taught me something the next one couldn’t.

Portraits taught me connection.
Commercial taught me intention.
Lifestyle taught me storytelling.

I don’t think photographers become valuable because they niche.

I think they niche because they’ve become valuable.

There’s a difference.

People assume AI is replacing the creative.

In reality, it’s changing where I spend my time.

Instead of repeating the same adjustments across hundreds of images, I can focus on the decisions that actually shape the final result.

The color.
The mood.
The balance.
The details.

Those are still creative decisions.

AI simply helps me get there more efficiently.
