There’s something about working outside of client sessions that keeps the creative side of my brain sharp and excited.

Took the dogs to the park the other day with no real plan. Just to sit in the grass.

We are so lucky to have a great park so close to the house, and honestly, even with the heat, the shade from the trees makes it feel like a completely different world.

It was such a simple thing, but I came home feeling more like myself.

If you're looking for a reset that doesn't require a whole plan, I can't recommend it enough. Get outside. Sit in the grass. Bring your dog if you have one.

I drive down my street almost every day and somehow still forget to look at the Spring Mountains.

The other day I actually caught myself looking up and thought, wait - when did I stop noticing that?

It's so easy to let beautiful things become part of the background when you see them all the time. I don't want that to happen. The scenery we live in is genuinely stunning and it deserves more than a quick glance between errands.

Don't let it become wallpaper.

Okay, I have to talk about the maternity session I've been quietly building behind the scenes.�I did this session at the beginning of the year and fell in love with it. Since then I’ve been planning and building.
I am pulling all the stops for these sessions.

I feel like my little community is really expanding, and it feels so good.
Getting to know everyone, hearing about your families, your milestones, what matters to you - it genuinely makes this work feel like something special.
I'm surrounded by incredible people. That's not something I take for granted.

I’ve seen firsthand how much it means when someone looks at a photo of themselves and actually feels seen. Not polished. Not performative. Just - them.

When that clicks, something shifts. And honestly? That moment is everything to me.

The Desert National Wildlife Refuge feels like stepping into another world—peaceful, open, and full of life. It’s one of the few places near Las Vegas where everything slows down, which makes it such a beautiful location for relaxed, natural senior portraits. I’m incredibly grateful to be approved to photograph here and to help preserve it exactly as it is.
