I don’t do weddings 🤭 unless I do.

Ok these 2 wanted pure documentary and that’s really the only time I’ll do them, even then- it’s rare y’all!

These two are special though, I remember the day Sara walked into our mutual coworking office and she told me about her first date with Jeff. So, you see, I’ve kinda watched it all bloom, and grow🌸. When the story unfolds before my eyes, as a visual storyteller, it’s much harder for me to say no 🤣

I know, I never do this! But I had an opportunity to use this great studio so I took it and did a few minis with some great clients of mine. When in Rome, right?!

It was fun little hang since my home sessions are much longer- I think we all had the feeling, Is it already over? Just like the holiday season actually 😆

Moody black n whites are some of my favorites, just a kiss of a light silhouette giving form. I love b+w in any session but for some reason in a newborn session a capture like this seems to hit different.

It reminds me of when I was a newborn mom, waking in the night while the rest of the house sleeps- just you and the babe. These moments are seemingly endless and exhausting, but in retrospect there can be such beauty in that quietness. I can’t say that I saw that as much when I was in it, but now I sure do!

Sometimes I get babies that just look so deeply into my lens that it’s like they are peeking into my soul😆.

I know more likely they are just loving the contrast of my camera but when I see the photos where this happens I wonder so much what is going through their busy little brains.

Everything new, literally learning by the second. Babies are so neat-o.

Next year will look so different. That’s one of the reasons I love shooting day in the life sessions- it really shows how your life changes year after year.

And with little kiddos, life changes quick! Every year brings new challenges, new funny things that your kids are doing, new parts of them developing and coming to life as they grow.

And things fade. Slowly they need you less, the need for your arms around them fades, the words they so charmingly mispronounced become clear, they don’t need help dressing or tying shoes and on and on forever.

Documenting it all to remember forever is what I love. It’s beautiful. It’s your life.

Let’s talk summer sesh in Vegas. It’s hotter than Tyra Banks outside, yes, but where there’s a water source, there is fun to be had!

I knew we were swimming for this one so I brought my trusty GoPro (it’s a little waterproof camera that takes high quality video) and took some really fun video and photo footage in the water! It was a blast!
I love to get new perspectives and to work with unpredictable environments, so this was my jam!

Summer is still cookin right now in Vegas so if you want to capture a little water play, either at your pool, a splash pad, or just with the sprinklers in your yard… get those popsicles ready and give me a call! It’s such a sweet time to capture, and while our summers linger, it’ll be over before long!
