It's official - I'm joining the Sony squad! After years of loyalty to Nikon, I've decided to make the switch. My Sony A7CR stole my heart on our travels, and now I'm ready to take the plunge with the Sony A1ii. Let's see what the future holds as I plan to shoot a whole lot more in 2026!

This shot is a rare catch for me when shooting indoors with strobes, but it looks like I got a bit carried away. For those who don't know, strobes have a "recharge" period after each shot, which can vary depending on the power setting. More powerful strobes take longer to recharge, while high-end ones can be ready again in under a second. In the world of barrel racing, however, we can't afford to wait 2-3 seconds for a strobe to recharge. Timing is everything, and taking a shot too soon will only give you a black screen.

Boo, our free range unicorn who thinks she’s 15.2, the 6th sister to the Kardashians, and Mother of Dragons. Acts like a dog, craps like a goat, and eats grass like a lawnmower. We still love her though.

As a still photographer just dipping into video, I’m blown away by the fact that you can pull a clean frame straight out of 4K footage. I know this isn’t anything new but as a first for me, I’m pretty impressed. It opens up so many possibilities, not just capturing moments, but freezing them in ways I never thought I could add to my workflow. Excited to see where this takes me.

I was just made aware if you placed an online order with a GMAIL email address for your Buckles and Barrels for Bailey pictures, you may not have received your images. The service I use automatically sends you two emails after purchase. The first is a receipt and the second email includes a download link with instructions. This second email should be received less than five minutes after the first. I am working with my hosting service and GMAIL to resolve asap. If you placed an online order for downloads and have not received them, please let me know and I will manually send them to you as soon as possible. I apologize for the inconvenience.
