USA turned 250, Route 66 turns 100, the bronco was born in 66… I feel a road trip this year.
Cars on the route, galena KS.
Route 66 will likely be hoping this year, but I couldn’t skip a quick pic as I headed home. The dogs safe in the AC I just did a quick shot across the street . Mostly because the spot where you could pull up to the pump for a photo was taken by two bikes. And with the dogs in the heat I had little time to check out the wares.
So grab your Route 66 Bronco t shirt and let’s have a little fun.

On roam and on the map. The wild pony made a stop at an out of the way spot, a cemetery that people pass everyday, well it it was along a main route.
Wyatt Earp had family in Lamar Mo. Before his roaming life he met a young g woman and was smitten with her. They soon were wed, but soon tragically his young bride passed away while heavily pregnant with their first child.
She’s buried in the back of a little cemetery still well in use and carried for. Her stone so weathered it bares no marking, but a new one has been made to honor her.
Many believe this tragic event started his roaming lifestyle.

Took the dogs out in the wild pony for a few days. Made a stop at freedom silo to let the dogs stretch.
