Going to get a little real in this one..

This last week my family lost someone close to us.. and my first thought after losing it, was to search through the years of photos i have in my phone. I started panic searching for photos of him that would bring me comfort. That i could stare at and cry because i couldn’t hug him anymore.. i was trying to find the best picture of him with the biggest smile and full of life. It was a terrible feeling because i realized i hadn’t taken a million photos of him.. i just knew he would always be there.. or thought.

This post isn’t me telling you to grab your wallet and book with me.. It’s telling you to pull out your phone and the camera and take pictures of everyone. Everyone you love. All the time.. All your friends and all your family around you. When you guys are hanging out and eating, laughing, sharing each others time and playing with the kids. They don’t have to be perfect, they need to be real… pictures hold so much value. When your favorite photographer is reminding you to take your pictures with them sometimes we’re forgetting to take ours. I’m saying this from a new point of view. Take the picture, book with somebody, pull out your phone.

In the end, when your heart is racing and tears are flowing that’s what you’re going to reach for.. i promise it’s the photo.. ❤️

With Rosie and Athena’s end of life shoot making such an impact, I’ve had multiple families reach out to me for sessions for their furry kids and it has been such a blessing!

I wanted to share with you Soco and Kasey’s last sunset shoot ❤️

Soco was brought in to help his soldier daddy sleep better at night and he fulfilled his job and much much more! He lived a long life with his family and loved hiking, playing and full of energy! He was deeply loved and it was beautiful to capture!

Soco started declining recently with an illness and was unable to stand during our session so we photographed him laying in the wild flowers and wrapped him in daddy’s uniform. They are photos i will save forever..

His momma Kasey sent me a video she made of him in his glory days running and playing and it was.. beautiful to see. 😭 I’ve decided to attach a few seconds of the video in the comments for you all the enjoy too ❤️
