Can I tell you a secret? 😳

I’m not yet certified as a birth doula!! Talk about vulnerableee! 😅 are you wondering why? Story time!

Part 1 ☺️
I attended a birth doula training in September of 2019! It was with and it was INCREDIBLE!!!! I knew from her introduction on the first day that I was born to be there! I had traveled to LA, surrounded myself with 30+ like minded people, and was seriously edified! I left there absolutely on cloud 9! It was the drive home that would change my life and our family forever!

I just got goosebumps because I realize, I’ve never told this story! But I’ve got to make it brief. It was on the drive home from the airport alone, late at night and eager to get back to my kids, that I would call and chat with husband. He informed me that someone had showed up to the LDS high school in Tonga that morning to inform of and offer the opportunity to Vita, to attend a private high school in Layton, UT and okay rugby and football! I drove down the highway with tears streaming down my face, because I understood the miracle this was!

In a matter of 3 weeks, we would go from not even a thought of leaving Las Vegas, to buying a house 3 minutes from Vita’s school! We chose to house him while he’s here, and that’s the best decision we’ve ever made!

All the time I was planning on pouring into my new business was at a complete halt! When our move finally came, I was eager to get my business going here! I was flooded with hormones, pregnant, and exhausted. Then I was miscarrying and struggling through grief. Then immediately exhausted with pregnancy again! It was long and hard 12-14 weeks! And the moment I got feeling better, the whole world shut down with c*vid! I yearned to have the opportunity to support a birthing person! And then when everything started to open back up, I was due myself! And then I spent the last year breastfeeding!

Almost exactly two years after my doula training, I found myself changing my entire life again! This time with .summer.a and her incredible coaches .summit!

Anyone else sorely behind trying to recover from this weekend? 😅

Our weekend was jam packed and so good! Here’s a quick recap and our coming in hot! 🔥

•Mom and dad came up from Vegas so we could go to Vita’s game in Enterprise and not have to take them. We took Ellie Jane with us, and she slept the entire game! They took the big kids to our ward’s trunk or treat, but I haven’t got pictures back yet! 😁

•Vita received his first ever scholarship offer from , an SEC conference D1 university, to play football ! We are insanely proud of him and cannot wait to see how the rest of high school plays out for him! He’s only a JUNIOR!!!

•His offer was a great intro to the weekend, and a special experience for his team to share with him! They all took that energy into a hard fought game, and came out with a victory over Enterprise! They’re onto the semi finals against Kanab this week!

•We got home late Friday and got up in time for the boys last soccer games, and another basketball game for Charlie (not pictured)! These boys are loving the sports they’re playing and have so much fun with their teammates! Their athleticism is a little insane, I can’t wait to see how they grow!

•Last but certainly not least, HALLOWEEN! We had sooooo much fun dressing up this year! I of course wanted to do an entire Moana family costume, but the boys and sissy have their own opinions these days, and it’s not worth the fight! 😉 Also, it’d be a lot easier on all of us, if I wasn’t the queen of procrastination! 😅 We had so much fun trick or treating in our neighborhood!

Happy Sunday and Monday to you all! I hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as we did! What is your favorite holiday tradition? I’m SO exited for Thanksgiving! ☺️

wнaт тo looĸ ғor wнen нιrιng a doula 💛

Doula’s are NOT just for hippies and home births! 😉 The chance of an unexpected or unplanned cesarean section is lessened by up to 39% when a birth person receives continuous support from a doula! So here’s what to look for as you research who you’d like to support you!

As you begin to “shop” you will likely find recommendations from friends/family, Facebook or other mom groups, or from an online search. But how will you know you’ve found the right doula for you?

You will want to look for someone you relate with! This does not mean you two have to agree on everything, but you do need to feel like they will have your back no matter what, and always have you and baby’s best interest!

You will want someone who’s voice you find calming and encouraging! This may sound silly, but can you imagine living through some of the most intense moments of your life and hearing a voice you cannot stand? It’s not gonna be fun 😉

And of course, someone you trust. You are looking to hire someone to be your advocate. To understand your wishes and stick to them. To remind you what your desires were when you inevitably forget, and to stand up to that doctor who may be suggesting something against your wishes, when it’s unnecessary!

Of course, this human will be seeing you and expected to encourage and support you in your most vulnerable moments! You want that to be someone you can be 100% comfortable with. What was your favorite thing about having a doula on your birth team? If you didn’t last time, what do you look forward to in having one next time?

he’s five! 🖐🏽🎉

My handsome, fierce, protective, affectionate, loving, and loyal little boy is five whole years old! Isaiah protects his siblings and family like it’s his job. Loves like it’s his last day. And has logic well beyond his years. He loves puzzles, and could spend hours staying focused on one project, game, or activity! He is feisty, loud, and very active! He has the widest and brightest smile and is happy most of the time! Happy birthday to our Zay Zay! We love you so much!

I WANT to be an Influencer 😳

Does that seem so taboo to say? Hear me out, please! 🙌🏽
I hated the term “influencer” for a long time. I felt it gave some ordinary people an extraordinary label, on things that I too, have been doing my whole life! Gaining, learning, and sharing information. No matter what the topic. But ya know what? Recently I admitted to the notion (and verbally stated it) that I DO want to be an influencer! I’m gonna tell you why, and maybe you’ll be willing to help me 🤞🏽

There are many things about being an influencer that sound like cons to me. Being recognized on the road, in my town, or while traveling, by strangers, sounds a little daunting! What if I’m experiencing road rage (I’m sorry if you’ve been victimized by the burb)? What if I’m yelling at my kids? What if I’m stressed and spewing profanities *not so* under my breathe?

But what if I can help? What if I can build the village I dream about, and dream of new moms being a part of? What if my sharing is truly valuable to women and moms worldwide? That’s just it, I KNOW sharing my knowledge and experience has been crucial to my friends and family feeling less alone! I’ve witnessed miracles following my desire to just be helpful! I’ve seen the messages that what I shared changed their life, and it literally makes my day/life every single time! I live for moments like that!

So yes, I WANT to be an influencer, because through my own trial and error, and being willing to share that, I’ve created this village I have now. And I truly don’t know what I would do without it. And EVERY woman and mom needs one of her own! Will you help me?

eιgнт yearѕ 💛

It has been 8 whole years since our eternity began! I remember that day like it was yesterday and would still relive it 100 times over if I could! The very best day of my life, that has brought forth so many best days since! The life we’ve created together is one I’m extremely grateful for and proud of!

This man is tender when I’m feeling down, he encourages me when I feel inspired, he comforts me when I feel weak, and he reminds me how strong I am when I feel inadequate. He always puts his family first, and loves our babies hard. I am beyond proud of the way we’ve worked things out in our relationship. This year has been our hardest, yet most rewarding. He continues to love me despite our hardships. Thank you for being my husband for 8 years, I couldn’t be more excited for the rest of eternity with you! I love you handsome! Happy Anniversary 😘

α мαмα’ѕ νιℓℓαge 🤍

My journey in motherhood began 7+ years ago, when I found out I was pregnant with my first baby! I spent my pregnancy trying to educate myself, and gain as much knowledge as I could to feel equipped in those early days. There wasn’t much to find at the time, or least it wasn’t easy to find! I found quickly, that women everywhere feel extremely alone, no matter what stage of motherhood they’re in! Including, and especially, when dealing with infertility.

When Charlie was born, I was thrown head first into learning everything the hard way. I had to ask the questions, gain the recourses, and acquire the village. I am beyond blessed that I did! But what about the women who aren’t as bold? The ones who are more timid, and may be afraid to ask the questions? What about the women who feel silly that they don’t already know the answer? Do they know that EVERY women feels that way at one point or another? Do they know that women like me would literally die to be able to help them? To be able to give them every ounce of knowledge and experience I’ve gained, for them to adopt as their own? I am a HELPER. I want to share every single tidbit of my own, to help others feel the confidence I’ve gained!

The truth is, motherhood is HARD. It is filled with moments that are so much harder than you ever could hav imagined, and even more moments that are better than you could have ever dreamed up! It is filled with moments of loneliness, triumph, inadequacy and complete confidence. There are moments we feel totally broken; mind, body and spirit. Then there are even more moments where we feel this is EXACTLY where we’re meant to be!

It is my passion to help women feel confident, before they crash. To find a village before feeling completely empty. To feel educated before having to search in desperation. I am here, because I found my village, and I couldn’t do it without them. You are my village, and you shouldn’t either. I will always be willing to share my story to help you along yours! That’s what finding a village in motherhood is about 🤍
