It’s no secret that Mike and I love pizza. 🍕 And yes, I will always have a soft spot for LaRosa’s — I’m pretty sure my parents started feeding it to me right along with Skyline Chili as soon as I could handle solid food, lol. 😂
But since moving back, we’ve been finding some seriously good pizza spots around town. I’ve already shared a couple favorites, and now I have to add another one to the list: Krimmer's Italianette Maineville
We tried the Maineville location a few weeks ago for the first time, and let’s just say… we are officially hooked. The pizza was amazing, and everyone working there was so friendly, which always makes a good meal even better. 👍
Since I had somehow never heard of Krimmer’s before — yes, this may need to be a “Places Carol has never been before even though she’s lived here most of her life” posts 😂 — I did a little digging and found out they have a pretty great local story.
Krimmer’s started as Italianette Pizza back in 1981, when teenage brothers Fritz and Jeff Krimmer were working there as dishwashers and box folders. A few years later, in 1985, Fritz and his mom, Shirley, bought the restaurant from the original owners, added the Krimmer name, and helped turn it into the family-run Cincinnati favorite it is today. ❤️
What began as one little shop in Silverton eventually grew into a Greater Cincinnati favorite, with locations including Silverton, North College Hill, and Maineville.
And now I understand why locals love it. We may have been late to the Krimmer’s party, but we’ll definitely be back! 🍕📷
