I’m so ready for crisp mornings, golden sunsets, cozy sessions, and pulling all my fall decor out… or at least as close to fall as Florida lets us get! 🤪 My camera is ready, the pumpkins are about to make an appearance, and I cannot wait for all the cozy fall sessions that fall brings. Lately, every time we’re driving down the road, Scout looks out the window, points up at the trees, and says, “wow!” He isn’t worried about where we’re going or how long it’ll take to get there. He’s completely captivated by something I drive past without a second thought. It made me wonder how much I’ve stopped noticing. Somewhere along the way, it’s so easy to become consumed by schedules, responsibilities, and the next thing on the list that we forget to look up. We forget to be amazed by the God who painted every sunset, designed every towering tree, and spoke all of creation into existence. Jesus tells us to have faith like a child, and maybe part of that is learning to recover our sense of wonder. To slow down enough to notice what God has been showing us all along. Creation has been declaring his glory every single day. The question is whether we’re still looking. I hope I never lose the ability to stop, look up, and say, “wow.” 🩵
