I don’t want to just photograph what your wedding day looked like. I want to capture what it felt like.

The nervous hands before you see each other. The way they look at you when you’re not paying attention. The laughter that makes your stomach hurt. The hugs that linger a little longer. The happy tears, the chaos, the quiet moments, and all of the little things happening around you that you might not even realize are happening.

Of course, we’ll take the beautiful portraits you’ll frame in your home. But I’ll also be there for everything in between. The moments that bring you right back to exactly how it felt to be there.

This session almost wasn’t an engagement session.

Ashtyn won my 2K follower giveaway, and we originally planned a couples session. Then, just a few weeks beforehand, she got engaged! 💍

So we packed up, drove from the Seacoast to the White Mountains, and spent the evening wandering through fields of blooming lupines while celebrating the start of this new chapter together.

These are the moments that make me love what I do. Getting to preserve memories that you’ll look back on for decades is something I’ll never take for granted.

I say it all the time, but engagement sessions are about so much more than save-the-dates.

They’re about slowing down for an evening and celebrating this chapter of life before the wedding day arrives. Because as exciting as wedding planning can be, it all goes by so fast.

They’re also a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera and connect with the photographer who will be by your side on one of the biggest days of your life. By the time the wedding day arrives, the nerves have settled, you know what to expect, and taking photos feels a whole lot more natural.

Between the laughter, the twirls, and the quiet moments by the water, these two made my job easy. Their love is effortless, kind, and the kind that feels like home.

I can’t wait to celebrate with them on their wedding day. 🤍

I think this proves just how far behind I am on posting sessions 😅

I’ve already photographed Paula & James’ wedding and their honeymoon session, but somehow I’m just now sharing their engagement photos.

We spent the evening exploring the trails at Castle in the Clouds, stopping at waterfalls, taking in the views, and making sure Rosie got plenty of time in front of the camera too 🐾🤍

A special shoutout to Desirae for tagging along and helping with Rosie throughout the session. A few weeks later, she was standing beside Paula as one of her bridesmaids. ✨

Now that Paula & James are officially married, these photos feel even more special to look back on.

Some brides carry fresh florals down the aisle. Steph carried something even more personal.

Every floral detail from this wedding was hand-crocheted by the bride herself. From the bouquets to the boutonnières and even the floral accents throughout the day. Months of love, patience, and creativity woven into every stitch.

One of my favorite parts of wedding days is seeing the little details that make a celebration uniquely them, and this wedding was full of them. 🤍
