When was the last time your whole family was in one photo?

Not just the kids. Not just one branch of the family. Everybody.

Extended family sessions are one of my favorite ways to document a season that changes faster than we realize! Grandparents with their children and grandchildren, cousins together, siblings who don’t live down the road from each other anymore, each individual family, the couples who started those families, and all the little relationships in between.

Yes, we’ll get the big everyone-look-at-me photo. 😉 But we’ll also make time for the laughter, the little groups, the kids being kids, and the connections that make your family yours.

With Thanksgiving and Christmas around the corner, now is the perfect time to start planning a session while everyone is already going to be together! I just booked a group for the day after Thanksgiving!

I’ve known Nelly for 25 years.

She’s one of those friends who has been woven through so many seasons of life that it’s hard to remember a time before her. The kind of friendship that always feels like no time has passed even if it’s been months since we’ve talked. No small talk over here.

Earlier that day she was talking with her sister about maternity photos. I casually said, “I’ll take them if you want to do them tonight.”

Two hours later, after some convincing, a rushed outfit change, and getting Jay on board, we found ourselves in a field at sunset.

After years of so many prayers, hope and a very strong faith, these two are finally preparing to meet their rainbow baby!

Some stories deserve all the planning in the world.

And some stories are so beautiful they only need a couple hours notice. 🤍🌈

It doesn’t seem possible that Colton is a senior already. It truly feels like one minute the kids in your family are running around at holiday gatherings and the next you’re taking their senior photos.
Excuse me, but how?!

We spent the evening wandering Mizner Park in Boca and finishing with breezy, moon-lit trek on the beach!

I love making sure senior sessions are reflection of who they are right now!

And Colton brought it all! Guitar, boots, beach, and family!

We’ve been all over Florida these past couple weeks!

I’ve photographed families, spent time with people we love, watched Frankie bonding with friends and family, survived several long car rides, lived in the pool, and we’ve completely worn ourselves out by the end of each day. 100% worth every moment!

This is exactly why I love what I do.
My camera comes with me, my work comes with me, and business trips meld with vacation and turn into the best memories a mom could ask for!

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is that I can take my job with me wherever I go!

This Florida trip has been a mix of vacation, family time, and a few sessions tossed in there as well! …oh yeah, and cinnamon rolls. Gotta have the cinnamon rolls! 😍

Frankie has tagged along for all of it, helping carry things, and playing in the sand. All while we make endless memories together!

The Blando family met me at Pier 60 Clearwater Beach for one of the most beautiful Florida evenings! The light showed off and the waves played along!

Safe to say these are some of my favorites from our time here. ❤️

I’m heading back to Clearwater Beach this weekend for the last stint of our trip and have space for a couple more mini sessions if anyone has been thinking about updating family photos while I’m here!

This sweet little guy spent most of the session hugging the baby, kissing the baby, talking to the baby, and making all of us laugh.

Safe to say this little one is already very loved. 🤍
I cannot wait to meet him at his newborn session in a few weeks!

One of my favorite things about maternity sessions is documenting the whole story! Not just the baby that’s on the way, but the family that’s growing around them.
