I always preach about how I don't want to niche down, and how I want my couple sessions to turn to engagements to weddings, my maternity sessions to turn to newborn to milestone photos. I have taken Brian's family's photos several times, and now to see him as an incoming senior is both 😁 and 🤯. I knew going into his senior session that he would be polite, but he was also the best sport and the funniest guy to spend an hour with before he enters the craziness of his senior year before going off to do...Astrophysics? Robomechanics? Something amazing we'll all benefit from.

When the whole family is in town, it's the perfect time to update family photos! It's wild how often I hear family members say things like, "We haven't taken a nice photo together since the wedding!" And said wedding was 8 years ago...11 years ago...15 years ago. That's so normal, and it happens to *everyone,* but you can stay on top of it and make sure you schedule photos on a regular basis so you have documentation of those kiddos and families at all stages of life.

My gorgeous, smart, talented, friend (if you ever need an estate planning attorney, she's your person!) got her family of four together to update their photos for the first time in...7ish years. Reminder: It's so easy to put off family photos once you're married, once your kids aren't babies, once everyone's schedule is bananas. But you'll never regret making time for updated family photos.

I've been lucky enough to be this family's go-to photographer since early in my business, back when they were newly a family of three. I'll never shut up about how my favorite aspect of this blessing I get to call a job is watching my clients grow in front of my camera, and these four are a perfect example of that. Plus Mom and Dad are so great at letting their kiddos be themselves at our sessions while also keeping them focused. They know I'll chase after one of their kids for the photo; they know I'll roll with it when things get chaotic; they know I'll deliver a gallery they look at and say, 'She got THIS photo out of THAT session?!'

The start of year 9 of this business I built has been off to an amazing start, and I can't wait to see where the rest of 2026 takes all of us.

In typical Midwest fashion, we had a weather reschedule for Kaylie and Trent's engagement photos. And then on the day of the reschedule, there was a Tornado Watch. Luckily we had blue skies, warm sun, a decent breeze, and we got home safely before the storm hit that night.

Jessica and Rob are one of those couples that when you first meet them, you immediately know that they've found their person in each other. It's one of my favorite parts of this job I get to do. I can't wait to celebrate them saying 'I do!!'

Broadway Bash 2026 was a HUGE success, raising more than $470k in support of the amazing work that the Marcus Performing Arts Center of Milwaukee does for the arts - mainly making theater accessible for everyone.

Having friends who accomplish amazing things and then choose you to help document their milestones is one of the coolest parts of being a photographer. I cannot brag enough about what Linnea and her staff did to make this event fully immersive, fun, inventive, enjoyable, and most importantly, highly successful.

Besides all the amazing stations for the Broadway-themed displays, we enjoyed an incredible performance from Broadway star Eva Noblezada and an appearance from former Green Bay Packer Donald Driver.

Then the night finished off with the after-party set to the music of The Shagadelics, where Eva and Donald continued to party with the guests.

These are just a few photos from a wonderful event supporting a cause I whole-heartedly believe in.

It was forecasted that we'd be dealing with rain on and off all day, but it turns out the rain kept itself to the early morning and late night on this beautiful wedding day! Dennis and Karisa got married in a beautiful Catholic ceremony, enjoyed wedding party photos in the spaces that were most memorable for them, and celebrated with a reception at the bride's family's home.

Happy THREE to Miss Molly! And this year she will become an amazing big sister! I can't wait to see her love on her baby...

There's something special about a courthouse wedding that just says ‘the most important thing today is ending my day married to you.' And how beautiful is that? These two got married in front of about 30 friends and family in person and another 10-15 online. And there was hardly a dry eye in the house. Congrats to Stacy and Bobby on officially tying the knot!h
