My goal is to work with you at every step of the way so that taking pictures and ordering portraits is fun rather than stressful and confusing. That includes coming to your home before the shoot to plan out what portraits you will want for your walls, how they will look and what sizes will compliment your space. I walk you through the ordering process and help you order high quality portraits that

you can pass down for generations. "The way that Aimee captures not just our faces - but our personalities with her lens is astounding. Taking family pictures with her as our photographer is an experience my boys and I look forward to each year. Thank you, Aimee, for using your gifts and talents and blessing us with such captivating images!" ~Sharon

Most moms start by asking about price, and I completely understand why.

But after years of doing this, I’ve seen that when price is the first question, it often leads to a decision that doesn’t feel quite right later on.

Not because of the cost, but because of what was never asked in the first place.

Senior portraits are more than just showing up, taking pictures, and downloading images.

The experience, the guidance, and what you walk away with all matter more than most people realize.

I wrote a blog sharing what I believe moms should be asking before they ever ask about price.

You can read it at the link in my bio.

If you have a senior this year, this is worth a quick read.

Sophie! 4 more months and it will be official! This year has flown by!! It was so much fun photographing you and getting to learn more about you.

One of the things I love most about photographing seniors is taking the time to truly learn who they are. I’m very intentional about understanding their personality and interests so their portraits feel personal and authentic. When I learned that Sophie loves to read, I knew a bookstore would be the perfect fit for her session. The image of her on the ladder quickly became a family favorite because it captures her so well.

It was extremely windy during her session, even if you wouldn’t guess it from most of these images. Adapting to changing weather and lighting is a big part of what I do so families don’t have to worry. Whether it’s harsh sun, no sun at all, or less-than-ideal conditions, the goal is always the same: portraits your senior and your family truly love.

Senior year is a season that passes far too quickly.
Senior portraits do more than mark a milestone. They capture who your child is right now, in a year filled with growth, change, and becoming. These images often become part of your home, your memories, and your family’s story.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime season and it deserves to be remembered intentionally.

Class of 2027 sessions are now booking.

And for Class of 2026 families, it’s not too late to plan senior portraits.

I was in Las Vegas this last week for a photography conference, which made me nostalgic for Grace’s senior portrait session here last year.
Grace grew up in Kansas City and now lives in Las Vegas with her family, so planning her senior session in a place that felt meaningful and completely different from home made it extra special. It allowed us to create something truly unique to her, not something that could be replicated anywhere else.
This is what I love most about senior portraits. They are not just another item on a long senior year checklist, but an experience that celebrates who your senior is in this moment and creates images that feel personal and timeless.

What you wear for senior photos matters, but it doesn’t have to be complicated.
The best outfits are the ones that feel comfortable, confident, and true to who you are. With a little planning and guidance, your senior session can feel relaxed and easy from start to finish.

This one is close to my heart.
Whenever I try to post about Asa, I’m overwhelmed with emotion. His senior portrait session in San Francisco wasn’t just about photos — it was about time together, shared experiences, and creating memories we’ll always hold onto.
The fog rolled in, the wind had a mind of its own, and yet the day was absolutely perfect. Visiting family, laughing through the unexpected moments, and simply getting to see his smile in a place that meant something to him.
It also reinforced something I believe deeply: senior portraits don’t have to be local or rushed. Turning them into a meaningful trip with family or close friends transforms them from another task before graduation into an experience that lasts far beyond this season.
And the portraits? They become reminders of a moment in time you never want to forget.

Senior portraits should feel like an experience, not something to get through.
Planned, not rushed.
Guided, not awkward.
Confident built along the way.
An experience, not a checkbox.

From planning and styling to guided posing and a relaxed pace, every session is designed to help seniors feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. When the experience feels good, it shows in the images.

I met Makade years ago when he and my son played baseball together at Building Champions. His mom and I became close friends at the ballpark, so when she reached out about his senior portraits, it meant a lot to me.
When she shared that Makade wanted photos taken at his dad’s firehouse, I couldn’t have been more excited. His dad had recently retired, and this was such a meaningful way to honor that chapter of their family’s story.
We planned carefully, brought the right gear, and made sure the experience felt just as special as the images themselves. Then, to top it all off, the sunset at the ballfield completely stole the show.
Moments like this are why I love what I do. Senior portraits aren’t just about photos — they’re about celebrating who your child is in this season and creating memories the whole family can be part of.
