I love streams and secret ponds that are hidden in the forest. As a child I liked to hide myself away by the stream within the woods behind our home. Trees grew along the stream and wrapped their roots around the soil and rocks, holding them like prized possessions. My goal with this design is to impart the feeling of ancient sacred spaces, where the stillness blankets everything and the mind goes quiet.
The horns are built, detailed, and painted by hand as are the arch and stone portion of the crown, which are inspired by old stone runes that were carved in ancient times by our ancestors. Beautiful green (real) moss adorns the crown and seems to grow from the horns themselves.
This headdress is made using EVA foam and weighs 5 ounces, I'm super proud of being able to keep things lightweight.
