The joy of photographing friends is I see a photo like this, I know it is absolutely who they are together. It is hard to keep shooting when I am laughing so much, but I think I got it!

My love of portrait photography comes from the friendships and relationships I have built with the people it has brought into my life. Photography was what caused my path to cross with Stacy when our kids were in elementary school, but not because she hired me, but rather because she was a photographer too. We laugh about it now- without knowing each other, we saw each other as rivals. We used to trade looks across the gym floor. At some point, we realized we were missing out and our friendship began. Over the years, she has become one of my closest friends. When she and Jason (finally) set a wedding date, I was beyond honored when they asked me to photograph their elopement. This past Saturday, the day finally arrived and it was a perfect a fall day in Camden. To watch the love between them and to hear them to declare their love and promises to one another with a healthy dose of laughter mixed in was emotional and beautiful.
These are just the first few peeks to share with you all. Stacy and Jason, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day. I love you tons, Mich!

The little bits and pieces of babies that change so very quickly are some of my favorite things to photograph- The impossibly small feet that have been kicking from the inside, the whole hand that doesn't quite encircle a parent's finger and the beautiful eyelashes resting on cheeks. The first baby or the fourth, those details are part of what makes their start in the world their own.

I spent some time on the Fourth of July photographing Coleman and his sweet family to make sure to get all of those little details. He is so relaxed, and sweet, time flew! Desiree and James, thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your family and snag a few baby cuddles!

When Desiree said she wanted some woodsy and natural feel photos and some milk bath photos for her maternity session I knew we were a match! We had a great (and very cold) time creating these last night! I am so excited to meet their little guy in a few short weeks!

During our planning meeting, we were talking about what Brayden did and didn't want for his senior photos. He was clear that he did not want to be dressed up and sitting in trees- the stereotypical senior photos. This is exactly why I create sessions custom to each client. We spent yesterday afternoon in and around the Auburn Public Library and I could not love the resulting images any more!

I have known him since he was on that cusp between toddlerhood and little kid. Having the privilege of watching him grow and change into this funny, intelligent and handsome young man has been a joy. I can't wait to see what he chooses to do next, but for now, enjoy your senior year Dom! I had a great time creating these with you, we easily could have kept shooting for several more hours!
P.S. For those of you who know my clumsy ways, I have to say I did not end up in the water this time!
