There is a lot being said in this shot. When I was in middle school a million years ago, my dad went to photography school, old school SRL cameras and darkroom.....learning how to manually manipulate light and not knowing how the photo turned out until you developed it.... sometimes weeks down the road when you used up all your film.
We would work on his homework projects together. Daddy daughter time having fun learning a new skill. Our favorite shots to practice were chasing sunsets on the bridge of Wright Patman Lake. We chased countless sunsets on countless bridges over the years. My dad loved nature, especially being on the water. He taught me how to see the world around me differently and appreciate those little things most people miss. This is how we told "the story" through the camera lens.
This is how Shots by Sheri ultimately was created. It all started with a daddy, a daughter and a sunset on a lake.
Happy Heavenly Birthday Daddy! Thanks for the beautiful view this morning ❤️
