Happy Friday, friends! 👋 Since it’s the last Friday of August, we thought it was the perfect time to re-introduce ourselves.
We are DesiLu- Lauren + Dave Clark- photographers, dog lovers, adventure seekers, and travelers (when we’re not on the pickleball court IYKYK).
This is one of our all-time favorite family photos, taken by on top of Roan Mountain. It was quite the comical effort to get 4 humans + 7 dogs (huge thanks to for the assist 🙌) all the way up the mountain and into one frame. And can you believe the only face we had to Photoshop was Dave’s? 😂
As much chaos as that day was, we are eternally grateful for this image. Since it was taken, a lot has changed and we have had to say goodbye to The Girls. 💔- Desi, Lil Rick and Polly. It’s a reminder of why we always encourage including your dogs in your portraits—you never know how long you’ll have with them, but you’ll always have the memories. 🐾
So that’s us: dog parents, photographers, adventurers, and storytellers of pets and the people who love them. 💛

🎭✨ Ashley & Dustin’s Renaissance Fairytale Wedding ✨🎭

Some weddings are unforgettable, and then there’s this. Ashley and Dustin’s wedding at the Renaissance Festival was one of the most unique and magical celebrations we’ve ever had the honor of documenting. ❤️

From their stunning Renaissance attire that transported us to another era to a ceremony featuring the iconic "Mawwiage" speech from The Princess Bride (a perfect touch!), every detail was steeped in charm and character.

The reception was a lively affair with the Queen’s Consort teaching dance lessons, followed by a grand walk through the festival that led to a joust where Ashley and Dustin were honored in true royal style. And if that wasn’t enough, their portraits? Wandering through the festival’s bustling streets made for some of the most creative and enchanting photos we’ve ever captured.
