"The Earth is Art, the photographer is only a witness." ― Yann Arthus-Bertrand

"But the love of wilderness is more than a hunger for what is always beyond reach; it is also an expression of loyalty to the earth, the earth which bore us and sustains us, the only home we shall ever know, the only paradise we ever need – if only we had the eyes to see. Original sin, the true original sin, is the bli

nd destruction for the sake of greed of this natural paradise which lies all around us – if only we were worthy of it." - One of my favorite quotes by Edward Abbey. "Chaser of light, landscapes and lakes, rivers, and streams of America, but intently
focusing (pun intended) on the dwindling wild areas of South Carolina. Robert Hopkins Ridgell or "Hop," as most know him, is primarily a Landscape/Wildlife/Nature photographer, but he has also been known to dabble occasionally in Event Photography, Abstract and Portrait photography at times." Fine art prints of his work are available matted and framed and printed on the highest quality Fine-Art paper which provides extraordinary print results with bright colors, deep blacks, excellent contrast, outstanding reproduction of detail and striking pictorial depth. The Fine-Art paper used is perfect for long-term exhibitions and art collections. "His images are also available on wrapped giclee canvas with, if you wish, optional float frame. Giclee canvas prints are are celebrated by museums, galleries and artists for their accurate color and tonal gradation." Please message or call for pricing and/or sizing information.

“I've always loved magnolia trees and their blooms – there's something so beautiful about a magnolia blossom. It demands attention.” - Joanna Gaines

Magnolias are one of the oldest known flowering plants, with fossil records dating back over 95 million years. Because they evolved before bees, they rely on beetles for pollination. To withstand the rough stomping of beetles, they evolved incredibly thick, waxy petals. Here one blooms, just "Waiting on the Rain."
