I'm still not over this moment from Johannes and Amari's Bryan House Wedding 🥹
For their exit, the couple wanted ribbon wands with lights. At night. I'd never shot that before, so I was running on pure adrenaline and instinct. I asked the guests to crowd in tight, told Johannes and Amari to go for the kiss, and just fired away.
And LOOK at Amari's face. That's not a posed smile. That's pure joy. This is why I do what I do 📸

Brendan and Marian’s wedding at Fasig-Tipton was truly one for the books! 🦉 Not many people can say they shared their dance floor with an owl.

I love capturing these specific, one-of-a-kind moments that show off a couple’s personality. No "journey" or clichés here - just a high-energy party and some very cool feathered guests! 🦅✨

Technical note: Capturing animals in a high-motion environment like a dance floor takes a lot of focus (literally). I’m stoked with how this shot preserved the atmosphere of the room while highlighting that incredible interaction.

Who says wedding party photos have to be boring? 🥃 For Russell and Laura’s wedding at the Thoroughbred Center, we went for a cinematic, high-energy vibe. Between the black-and-white edit and the perfectly timed cigar light, this group looked like they stepped off a movie set. 🎬✨

Technical note: Using speed ramping in post-production allows me to highlight the most important moments while keeping the energy moving with the music. It’s all about that rhythm!

Technical note: Capturing motion in a dark reception hall takes a bit of finesse with off-camera flash, but it’s worth it to freeze those split-second moments of pure celebration. 📸✨

Nothing beats a wedding day that feels like a massive party from start to finish. Stephanie and Wesley made sure of that! 🎊

Between the vibrant green suit Wesley rocked and Stephanie’s incredible energy, this was easily one of the most fun days at WhitLee Springs Weddings and Events. I love when a couple prioritizes having a blast over following a traditional script.

Technical note for the photo nerds: This shot was all about timing that backlight perfectly. It’s easy for a sunset to wash everything out, but catching that genuine laugh under the veil made the flare totally worth it. 📸✨
