There’s something incredibly beautiful about a wedding that doesn’t follow the rules.

No big production. No pressure to perform for a room full of people. No timeline built around what a wedding is “supposed” to look like.

Just the two of you choosing a place that feels right, wearing what feels like you, and creating a day around the way you actually want to experience it.

Barefoot by the water. Hiking into the woods. Saying your vows somewhere quiet. Bringing ten people—or no one at all.

Non-traditional weddings give you permission to strip away the expectations and keep the parts that actually matter.

Your love. Your people. Your story. Your way.

And those are exactly the kinds of weddings I want to photograph more of. 🤍

I’m not the photographer who stands quietly in the corner all day. 😂

I’m usually right in the middle of it — laughing with you, helping where I can, keeping things moving, and making sure the day feels as good as it looks.

That’s probably my favorite part of weddings.

Getting all of your grown children in one place for family photos feels like a little win all by itself. 🤍

No pressure for perfection. No stiff posing. Just laughing too loud, picking on each other, squeezing in close, and falling right back into those familiar family roles no matter how old everyone gets.

Because when your kids are little, you take a million pictures. Then somehow they grow up, life gets busy, and having everyone together becomes a little more rare.

Sometimes Mom just wants updated photos of her babies — even when her babies are grown. And honestly, those sessions are some of my favorites. The excitement, the chaos, the connection… all of it is worth remembering.

There’s something so beautiful about the kind of love that is still discovering itself.

The nervous smiles.
The way they look at each other when they think no one is watching.
The inside jokes, the butterflies, the hand holding, and the feeling that somehow the whole world disappears when they’re together.

Young love isn’t about having everything figured out.

It’s about growing beside someone, dreaming together, making memories out of ordinary days, and believing—with your whole heart—that this could be forever.

And maybe that’s what makes it so beautiful…

For a little while, love feels endless, fearless, and completely untouched by the world. 🤍
