“This is what a $1,500 session looks like.”
An hour. A rented studio (which can run anywhere from $75 to $300 an hour depending on the state, date, and whether Mercury’s in retrograde). Prep time. Outfits. Lighting. Posing. Vibes. Magic. ✨📸
And yet — people still say, “$1,500? For photos?? That’s too expensive.”
Oh? Let’s break this down for the mathematically curious (Based off 2025 percentages + costs currently for several items):
Louis Vuitton Neverfull Style Bag: $1,500–$2,500
Coffee: $3/day = $1,100+ per year ☕
Vapes: $20/week = $1,040+ (heavier puffers hit $2K/year 🚭)
Booze: $580–$700/year 🍷
Impulse Amazon buys at 2am: ??? (but you know it’s too much)
So tell me again… why can’t that be spent on photographs? On memories? On freezing a moment in time you’ll never get back?
You can’t pass a used v**e down to your kids.
A purse doesn’t tell your story.
Coffee doesn’t hang on the wall at your funeral.
But your photos?
They last.
They speak.
They live on.
Most photographers offer payment plans. Most photographers have retainers. It's doable whether you have a low or high salary. Considering I have had clients save up for an entire year on a payment plan and do just this - I know it can happen.
So no — photography isn’t “too expensive.”
It’s just not your priority (yet 😉). Stolen
