Tigers Jaw, Pool Kids, and Bleary Eyed last night at the Aladdin. Really cool bands.

Used my phone and an old point and shoot since those are my only compact cameras at the moment. This was one of those occasions that drove home how much I miss my RX100V. I dream about getting a GR eventually.

Do the carved out spaces, cool air, and human cacophony of the mall connect us to our cave dwelling ancestors? Are we unwittingly taking a step back into the brutal wilds with each closure? At least one leading anthropologist would probably say yes if I consulted enough of them.

Last week's tour of the Western Flyer, the fishing vessel chartered by John Steinbeck and Ed Ricketts for their expedition to the Sea of Cortez in 1940. It's been restored and put back into service conducting research and hosting educational science programs.
