I knew from the moment Brett reached out to have me secretly capture his New Year’s Eve proposal that I was going to love this couple! From the proposal to running into them around town before the wedding, we just clicked. One of my favorite parts of taking photos is when i just know they are my people.

Their backyard wedding was absolutely beautiful, but the mature trees surrounding the property kept us from catching that golden sunset glow. No worries—we’ll be heading back out for a sunset session soon!

Congratulations, you two! Have the most incredible honeymoon and enjoy every minute of this new adventure together.

I can’t believe I forgot to post this beautiful family session from back in the rainy season! 🤦🏻‍♀️ We shot at the incredible Bywater Hollow Lavender Farm and honestly, this property is a photographer’s dream location. Lavender fields, gorgeous light, and the sweetest family made this session magic. 💜

And this beautiful mama is my dear friend Tawna! I’m so excited for her new nutrition business launch. I recently photographed a branding session for her and her sister too, so stay tuned because those are coming soon! We even have a part two session planned. ✨

Small world moment Mom reached out for her daughter’s senior portraits and it turns out I had already met this grad at our church baptisms over the summer! I even took a photo of her with my neighbor back then. Now here we are celebrating her senior year and upcoming graduation. I love these small town connections and getting to capture these milestone moments.

How is it that all these seniors could be models? Seriously. I’m so lucky to do what I do and to meet such incredible young people during their senior portrait sessions. Every single session brings a different personality, style, and energy and I’m here for all of it. Senior photography season has been so much fun this year!

Some family sessions just hit a little deeper. ❤️ This beautiful family has walked through pain and loss, a story that is similar to parts of my own. Watching them hold their precious new baby felt like witnessing a true gift from heaven and a reminder that joy can still bloom after heartbreak. Grateful to capture these moments that matter most.

Took these shots last month on a photo walk while helping a fellow photographer learn lighting and posing. This beautiful young woman—my adopted-in-love extra daughter—stepped in as our model for the day and absolutely nailed it. Grateful for moments like this where creativity, mentorship, and connection all come together.

If you’re aspiring to learn, feel free to hit me up!

This senior season has been one for the books—I’ve been lucky enough to photograph an incredible lineup of senior boys, and the diversity in their personalities, styles, and passions has made every session unique.

Senior portraits for boys, customized senior sessions, high school senior photography, and storytelling through images are at the heart of what I love to do.

This particular session stood out—this young man incorporated horses into his shoot, showcasing his passion and creating authentic, meaningful senior portraits that truly reflect who he is. Senior photography experience, personalized senior portraits, and capturing real interests always make for the most powerful images.

This bride planned her wedding fast and her original photographer went silent—talk about stressful. I kept communication consistent, met them at the venue for a walkthrough, and within 3 weeks they pulled off a beautiful, seamless wedding. So honored to step in and bring them peace of mind.

I often hear people in photography groups talking about what’s called gatekeeping. I wouldn’t consider myself a gatekeeper — but I am someone who vets fellow photographers when they ask about locations to shoot.

The reason for that comes from a recent conversation I had with a friend who graciously allows me to use her property. She shared that one day a photographer showed up with several high school seniors, pulled off the side of the road, and began shooting in front of multiple country homes. The students were placed on fences and even hanging from signs — and unfortunately, some neighbors ended up with damaged property.

As photographers, it’s our responsibility to do better.

Even if it looks like “just a country road,” I always get permission before shooting in front of someone’s home or on private property.

For this session, it was part two of a graduation shoot for this beautiful young woman I’ve had the joy of watching grow up. Her vision board included a library session, but we weren’t able to complete it at her college since their library was closed for the season.

So instead, I called the Lincoln Library ahead of time to make sure photography was allowed. They advised that as long as I didn’t disrupt patrons and returned everything exactly as I found it, there would be no issue. I assured them that we would be respectful — and I also let them know I carry liability insurance. While they didn’t require it, many locations absolutely do.

I truly believe that adopting a leave-no-trace mindset is essential as photographers. When we respect locations, they remain open and available for those who come after us.

And seriously… look how beautiful this young woman is. 🖤✨

Are you an actor or model and need comp cards to submit to agencies? I can help!

Many agencies want to see a few standard images, including a clean headshot and a full-body shot. They’re typically looking for you in your “raw form” — minimal retouching — so they have a solid base for whatever project they’re casting, whether it’s fashion, commercial work, or a specific role.

If you’re currently in the submission process, a professional comp card is exactly what you need.
