Connor Payne last Thursday at 1867! Connor has got some lungs. When I think of Christian rock, I think of Stryper, as a friend of mine was into them as much as the rest of the world was into most hair metal bands of the 80s. Connor is the Christian answer to death metal. Same tone, but different message.

This past weekend, I visited the ghost town of Corning, Missouri. Even though it was daytime, it had a very spooky feeling to the place. The only bad things to happen to the town were flooding, so everyone moved. Also visited the Corning Cemetery. As cool as the town was, the cemetery was the coolest part for me... it looks like it hasn't been used in YEARS! Grass growing, unkept markers. Love it! As nice as places like Wyuka are, I love the spookier feeling of unkempt cemeteries. Ya know, like in the old horror movies with vines growing all over the place and you thinking, "Who in their right mind would want to be buried here?"

Rico's Pass...this guy rules! Brett Droege, has so much passion in his music. So much intensity! He's got a lot of shows coming up...check them out! He's also hosting an outdoor punk show in Beatrice in a few months...go if you can! He was the final show for the KZUM The Metal Manifesto's Give to Metal 2026 Benifit. Thanks, Jon Kruse, for hosting yet another successful event!
