No one ever expects a family photo shoot to be fun. Let’s face it, many of us do not like to have her picture taken, and it feels a little awkward, honestly. This is normal, but when you step in front of my lens, I try to make it the funnest experience possible. And somehow each time we end up with pictures that create the funnest moments with lots of laughs to talk about for years to come.

I was so excited when I got a chance to photograph of this family again. They are so much fun and full of infectious energy. Also, how cute their shirts!?!

There was a time when these two fit perfectly in her arms. When Christmas meant tiny hands, missing teeth, and giggles that filled the room. And now… here they are taller, stronger, more independent. But…they will always be her babies.
•
This session wasn’t just about photos. It was about pausing time. About a mom choosing to schedule time in front of the camera with the two greats gifts in life. Recreating a moment from when they were little (last picture) Sharilyn laughs and memories from long ago. It reminds us that while our kids grow up, the love never changes. These images become bridges between who they were and who they are becoming.
