Horse portraits weren’t on my bucket list for this summer, but capturing them gave me a spark.

As my photography journey continues, so does the evolution of it. I had a friend tell me recently that she always enjoys seeing my vacation film photos I post on my personal account, and I should photograph what brings me joy.

I’m realizing (a little late) not every shoot has to involve a paying client. Although human portraits bring me joy, I want to bring myself back to capturing what I want to, when I want to. Things can be ‘just because.’

Spent this afternoon with the Metzgers and their newest member, Adell (my niece!) 💖

Today was bittersweet, as it’ll be my last newborn shoot for a while. And I’m so darn glad the last one was for family. Thank you everyone for your support with my decision to take a beat on doing maternity and newborn shoots as my husband and I continue to navigate infertility 💕
