This is what remains of the Chuck E Cheese from my Childhood. This Location is in Lincoln Nebraska. It Closed down in 2020 and is still for lease till this day, just sitting in the middle of a decently busy parking lot, no one really pays it any mind anymore. This is the only Abandon Structure that I have any Emotional Connection to. Not only did I have most of my Elementary School Birthdays here but. And IDk if it was the School’s doing or This Chuck E Cheese location doing, but once a year in Elementary, we would be given free tickets to go have fun for that night only, I was a shy kid who didn't really hangout with people that much so these nights would be the only time I actually played with other kids. I remember really loving the Roller Coster Simulator ride a lot. If I had to estimate the last time I was there, I think I was 12, so it's been almost 13 years for me. I remember thinking I was too old for it.
For anyone who doesn't know, Chuck E Cheese is still alive, but they removed the Animatronics and replaced the with a big TV screen, Cause of the Popularity of Five Nights At Freddies, which was definitely the wrong move cause a lot of kids wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese more now because they wanted to see real life Animtronics, Chuck E cheese is also very struggling now, resulting to use A.I generated images for marketing cause they can’t afford to commission artist anymore. Chuck E Cheese is on a steep hill to Bankruptcy unfortunately.
So you can’t really see inside the building with the naked eye. The windows are too dim and dirty, but if you put your camera up, touching the glass, you can take pictures and see what’s inside. I was surprised to see that everything was gone. Even the indoor playplace. The prize counter is just a skeleton of its former self. At least there's no vandalizing. If you zoom in closely, you can see the serving counter where I guess the waiter picks up the pizza. Some heated lamps so maybe there was a buffet there? Idk my parents never brought us food there. The Exit sign is still on, so I guess after 6 years, it still has power, you can see some open outlets, so hopefully there won’t ever be an accidental fire. The stage itself has some stuff left behind. Looks like chairs and equipment, unfortunately no animatronics. It does have that shiny curtain that I believe was behind the purple guy, the place is a lot smaller then I remember and I was 6ft back when I was 12. Fire extinguisher; still there too btw. But what good is that if no one is inside to stop the fire, probably wouldn’t get notice until it’s too big for just a little fire extinguisher Oh yea, i forgot to mention the sign over the stage, I can’t make out what it’s supposed to look like, unfortunately I had totake these interior shots with my Phone,
Outside of the Building you can faintly see Chuck E Cheese and the sign still faded on, On the interior front door, it looks like they erased the “Open” sign and rewrote “Carry Out Only” so seems like they closed the arcade down first and then offered Carry Out to get rid of the remaining Ingredients before Closing Down for good. If you know of any Abaddon places I could explore and document, pls let me know and if anyone knows how I can get in contact with the owner of this Location, pls let me know. I would love to go inside and document more of it.
