Every New Englander knows the pull of the sea. ⛵️🌅

That quiet longing for salt air, open water, and the kind of sunset that feels like home — no matter how far you’ve wandered.

You hear it before you see it.

That low, constant roar somewhere ahead…

And then it appears —
Great Falls in Falls Village.

Water moving with a kind of power you don’t often see in Connecticut.

No crowds. No traffic. Just this. A moment just for you.

The kind of place that reminds you why you go looking in the first place.

Every corner felt like a time capsule —
old books, worn wood, things that meant something before they found you.

This is the kind of place you don’t rush.
You wander. You notice. You find something you didn’t even know you were looking for.

New England magic, one booth at a time.

A beautiful winter brunch on Connecticut rails. 🚂❄️

The Essex Steam Train & Riverboat brunch train delivered amazing food, friendly staff, and beautifully restored vintage railcars that made the ride feel like stepping back in time.

Along the way, the views of the Connecticut River Valley were just as memorable—passing the Goodspeed Opera House, Gillette Castle, quiet farms, winter marshes, and even a bit of wildlife along the tracks.

One of those classic New England experiences that’s even better in winter.

Big, soft snowflakes this morning gave me a vision — so I went out to find it. Alone in the quiet woods, the tall pines suddenly released a waterfall cascade of snow… and I literally cried. So serene, so awe-inspiring — like a gift from God. ❄️🌲✨
