You know those people who are just SO perfectly matched to what they do? That’s Megan. 🌈☀️

The day I met Megan Schici, an Image Consultant with House of Colour in Lithia, she told me she wanted to work with me. Before the weekend was over, she had booked her half-day branding shoot and I was BEYOND excited. 💃🏼

☀️ Megan’s personality is colorful, vibrant, and full of sunshine, so our goal was to make sure her images felt exactly like her.

We spent most of the day in her color studio with a couple of models, capturing headshots, lifestyle images, her color analysis process, and a handful of branded stock content. Then we headed to another studio where she teaches to create cutouts and a fun color-swatch backdrop.

When it comes to promotional items you receive from other businesses, what type of items do you find practical and use frequently?

I use mugs and pens most often. I'm curious to know which items you have found to be worth keeping. (Hence making the gifting brand's logo frequently visible.)

I have built all of my previous websites, but I'd always focused on my clients' images instead of my own. Now, I am focusing on MY personal branding which means more content of me... 😬

I definitely felt many of my clients' pain points during the process—especially the part about not looking like myself since dying my hair. I want my clients to recognize me and see that I also am staying on top of my branding visuals.

So...here are the lessons I took away from this that will make a website refresh WAYYYYY easier and more effective. Before you start building the site, make sure you know:

👩🏾 Who your ideal client actually is;

✨ What you offer (both the tangible service AND the transformation/value behind it):

🖥 What you want your website to communicate;

📸 That your branding images are current, strategic, and actually support your messaging.

Having content isn’t the same as having the RIGHT content. Your website, words, and images should all work together to communicate who you are and where your business is going.

👀 From the moment to the marketing. 💲

There’s a LOT that happens between strategically planning a photoshoot and seeing it show up on a website.

For Mrs. Grout’s fleet photos, we were literally racing a thunderstorm to get everything we needed. 😅 Then came editing and the Photoshop work. The long days and hard work were worth it though. 🙌🏼

A few weeks back, Ben and I had the pleasure of creating fresh, strategic content for Mrs. Grout’s new website! 🙌🏼

As this successful Brooksville-based business expands into a second location and moves toward franchising, they needed visuals that would grow with them.

One of my favorite parts of a branding session is seeing everything come together strategically. 👀

💸 For Leah Miller's session, we weren't just focused on getting a few great headshots. We spent a half-day creating a full content library (over 130 images) she can actually use.

Here's a little behind-the-scenes look into our half-day branding photoshoot with Leah Miller, a Fractional CFO for law firms and the owner of Firmly Profits. 💸 (Leah Miller, MBA | Fractional CFO for Law Firms)

When people think about branding photography, they usually think about the final images. But every image starts with a strategy.

⚖️ For Leah, we intentionally chose locations and wardrobe that reflected both her brand and the clients she serves. We started in her office, transformed a simple wall into a studio for versatile marketing assets, then explored downtown Brooksville where we ended at the courthouse.

By the end of the session, Leah had far more than updated headshots. She left with a content library designed to support her business across her website, social media, and future marketing.
