once upon a time I was intrigued
and thought these might be the answer
to see such contraptions up close
popping up all over the flat landscapes
of the west, prairies and farms
the interruption of the view,
the blinking red lights at night
the moving blades vibrating and constant hum
no longer intrigued now concerned,
more questions than answers
topography changed but for better or worse
