Would you believe me if I told you that during any wedding day, there are *at least* fifty thoughts running through my mind at once?
From light and composition to emotion and timing… every detail is intentional. Every moment, anticipated. Nothing missed ❤️‍🔥

Yet at the same time, wedding days are where I always feel most aligned, empowered, and at peace 🥹

The wildly creative, endlessly active ADHD mind that once got me in constant trouble as a kid… is now my superpower on every wedding weekend.
There’s something deeply healing about that… for my inner child, and for the woman she grew into. 🥹

Do you have moments like that? Where you reflect to realize maybe some traits humans took as a weakness when you were a kid, turned out to be some of your greatest strengths when directed intentionally? Long summer nights on the shores of Oahu with Hannah + Nu ❤️‍🔥

This summer is the first in three years I’ve stepped away from Jackson Hole mid-season.

I’ve been playing with “batch scheduling life”
And so far. It’s the best damned thing I’ve ever done for my business AND personal life simultaneously ❤️‍🔥

I was honestly terrified to book summer trips away from Jackson Hole.
What if I miss summiting new mountains?
The concerts?
Floating the snake?
Those fleeting summer nights camping with my humans?

But here’s the truth:
You’ll never be able to “do it all”
So choose the moments that mean the most to your soul. And really choose to live and thrive in each of them 🫶✨

Honestly… it’s a close call. And I believe you need both so you as the couple can genuinely remember the true colors and details you spent so many months, many times years, intentionally planning.

But if you asked for my biased opinion?
Remembering the details inside of real moments will always win over a posed production.

Lately, I’ve become wildly passionate about helping my couples protect their vision.
and, honestly?? I’ve become more and more exasperated by the performance that so often gets imposed by vendors.
Not all vendors. But sadly, a lot.

This isn’t meant to offend or ruffle feathers (though that’s probably inevitable).
It just needs to be said:

The day is not about the vendors.
It’s not about creating content for a magazine spread.
It’s not about checking every box or chasing every trend.

❤️‍🔥A wedding day is about the couple,
making some of the best memories of their entire life
with the people they love most,
all together in one place…
maybe for the first and only time ever!
That’s. It.

Though to my fellow vendors 🥲
I get it. We have businesses to run. We need content to grow.

|| But there’s a sacred balance we can’t ignore:
**the balance between capturing beautiful content, and protecting sacred memories**

When we center the experience first… when we let the couple live and feel their day fully….
the magic naturally shows up. The content follows.
And it’s not just beautiful…
it’s real.
It’s the kind of content that means something! because it came from a moment that mattered.

Let’s not just document weddings.
Let’s honor them.

Fun fact: After Savannah + Matt took some spontaneous couples photos with me 5 years ago, Matt called to say “Im hopeful I’ll be marrying this girl one day. I hope you can be the photographer when it happens.”
5 years later… his dreams were manifested into reality 🥹
