We are facing a 4th down and one yard to go situation here. You don’t punt the ball in this situation. You go for it. Gain that one yard to get the first down to create momentum for the remainder of the drive to score a touchdown as we are almost at the 10 yard line with 90 yards to go. Help me achieve the first down of the drive by sharing and donating to Deaf America Project. Once we reach the 10 yard line and get the first down, this project will immediately gain momentum as it will take me to Austin, Texas and begin documenting the diverse, vibrant, and motivated Deaf community to have their silent voices heard, their actions visible to all, and their capabilities rewarded.

“The most crucial thing in this documentary project is to secure funds as early as possible to begin my first trip to Austin, Tx. There is a mainstream media company that is interested in publishing the documentary, so timing is critical to start.
Austin has the most prominent fully Deaf-owned industries in America, and it is one of the largest Deaf communities in the country. Austin will enable me to build connections and establish a pathway to successful Deaf individuals who are invisible to the mainstream world. It also will show the struggles and obstacles Deaf individuals face daily, greatly overlooked by others. It will begin the brick-laying of the documentary project, their silent voices heard, their ignored actions are seen, from all walks of life.
I have encountered many struggles and obstacles in my 41 years of being profoundly Deaf since birth while having some success, but I’m invisible to the majority because I am Deaf. This project will enable people to see a uniquely different world through the eyes of a Deaf photographer, an extraordinary world of the Deaf. Please consider making a solid contribution to my project and allow Deaf America to have its silent world be heard.”

When I did a photo story on Arkansas School for the Deaf and two of their extraordinary students, it brought back my life-long goal of doing a large scale project focused on the Deaf community as an effort to bring awareness to the public. With your contribution to this campaign it will allow me to bring this project to a mainstream media production company which will help me attain my dreams and goals.
This is only the beginning......
EDIT TO ADD: I will be making several posts along with videos (captioned of course) to explain this project in depth over time so be on the lookout.
