Do you do resolutions? I never really have. Or at least I’ve never stuck to them. This year I kind of unintentionally picked a word to represent what I hope to “achieve” in 2025.
“Consistency”
In parenting, exercising, eating, work, creativity, cleaning, in my relationships, everything. I’m going to just try to be consistent. In my life I tend to have highs and lows in everything. I want to be steady and dependable this year.
Hopefully this one sticks.

Post holiday… blues? Joy? Stress? I’m not sure what to call it but being the first year in the last 4 that we are not prepping for a surgery or birth… it feels weird trying to be normal.

In case anyone else is feeling a post-holiday come down, you’re not alone…

I suggest throughout January to still make the apple cider, the special holiday dish, bake the cookies, or go to an event like the zoo or museum. January can be joyful despite the end of the holiday season and the beginning of a new year.

You don’t just have to try and keep a resolution for 30 days and then quit.
Aim for joy year-round, moderation and consistency. Maybe THAT is my resolution 😉
