Hello everyone!!! I'm so happy to be making this post? Why might you ask? Because of a few reasons...

When Evan came into my life... I knew that I was going to taking a lot of picture of him. But from the day he was born... I told myself that I was going to do a "365 Project" of the first year of his life.

Now, for anyone who knows what a "365 Project" is... it is a very time consuming project of taking a photo of a subject... every day... for an entire year. As easy as I thought it would be with Evan being a young one... boy was I wrong. :)

But, with much excitement... I'm happy to announce that Stacey and I had finished the project a few weeks ago, but I wanted to top it off with a video.

Evan has changed our life in so many ways, but our love for taking photos has never changed... the best thing is that we have a new subject that always challenges us to capture that smile of his.

Without further blabbing... I present to you... Evan's 365. Thanks to Stacey for taking some photos when I wasn't able to capture the days photo... :)

I had the distinct pleasure of taking pictures of this cutie this past weekend. A 6 month old with a great smile and eyes that you could get lost in. I loved how she was just overwhelmed with the Christmas tree. :)

Jessica's Maternity Shoot

There is a distinct honor when you are asked to continue down the photographay path with a couple that you captured their wedding. Jessica and Bobby are just about to bring a new little one into the world, and when she asked me to take photos again for her? It didn't even take a moment to tell them that I'd be delighted to.

Day 3 of the Nature Challenge...

This one comes to you from the chilly lands of the Leelanau Peninsula from a previous trip up there. There was snow everywhere, and the blue skies just made everything pristine.

Thankfully the sun was out to keep us (semi) warm for the time being... :)

Day 2 of the Nature Challenge...

This one comes from you from a very eerie Sunday morning wake up at a campground in Ohio (The whole state is creepy.. come on!)

I loved the fog that was lingering on the lake, and it wasn't until my friend Cris pointed it out to me... (after I had printed this photo) that there were ducks flying behind clouds.

Because I felt like digging through the archives, and I have been 'nominated' by Jessie Lason Gwozdz to do some off some 'nature' photos.

Here's my fun idea of going to the beach. Lake Michigan in the middle of February. I love the detail of the frozen footsteps in the sand, with all of the spray from the waves adding more and more ice onto the beach while the wind whipped it around.

I took this particular theme and went a unique direction with it. Composing a picture can be a very unique thing... using items that you are seeing to make the sight that you are seeing. But here, what someone might see as being the 'awesome' beach... when they actually realize that this is a frozen beach. A snow storm had came in and dumped snow throughout the city, and the wind continued to blow and blow, spraying the sand with the water. The sand, was as hard as a rock. Yet the water colors were still gorgeous.

I love taking photos like this... just for the fact that they are a tad bit different from what everyone else might 'like'... and also hold more of a story to them than just what they hold. :)

I just wanted to say thanks to a couple of people that have been really patient with me... knowing that Stacey and I have had our hands full... but knowing that we would still get to their photo sessions. :)

All of these sessions have been really fun, because in the same time they have been willing to help us out with taking a few pictures of Stacey and I with Evan as well. :) Thank you again, and we hope you enjoy your photos! :)
