Consider this your official permission slip. ✨

To ditch the traditions that don’t mean anything to you. To spend time with your people. To let the dress get dirty. To change the plan. To say no. To actually live the day you’ve spent so much time planning.

Because somewhere along the way, weddings became really good at making couples feel like there’s a “right” way to do them.

There isn’t.

The best weddings I’ve photographed aren’t the ones where everything went perfectly. They’re the ones where the couple actually felt like themselves.

1 year ago today, I traveled to a place that changed everything. It still feels like a dream, and I carried home with me so much more than beautiful photos.

Italy left its mark on my heart and will forever hold a piece of my soul. I am forever grateful for this journey, the people I met along the way, and the way this trip changed my heart forever.

I can not wait to be back. 🇮🇹
